there are write-ups for all the shows if you follow that link, but here's the short list:

1. The Wire
2. The Sopranos
3. Arrested Development
4. Freaks and Geeks
5. Mad Men
6. Breaking Bad
7. The Office (UK)
8. Lost
9. Deadwood
10. The Shield
11. The Office (US)
12. Battlestar Galactica
13. 30 Rock
14. Futurama
15. Veronica Mars
16. Friday Night Lights
17. Firefly
18. How I Met Your Mother
19. Big Love
20. Tim and Eric Awesome Show Great Job!
21. Curb Your Enthusiasm
22. Six Feet Under
23. Undeclared
24. Dexter
25. Buffy the Vampire Slayer
26. The Venture Bros.
27. Flight of the Concords
28. Eastbound & Down
29. Wonder Showzen
30. The West Wing

obviously Curb should be higher, but other than that, I think that's a pretty, pretty, pretty good list. I am amazed (and I love) that they included Tim and Eric

more or less on point even though i am upset at the omission of south park. I also feel like Curb and (gasp) buffy should be higher. Buffy was such a creative tour de force. Unbelievably underrated TV show imo because people wrote it off as a teeny angst show with vampire slayings.

maybe they excluded south park because it started before 1999-2000? they included stuff like Sopranos and Freaks & Geeks so I dont know

buffy started before 2000 as well. you would think south park is a top 30 TV program of the decade.

putting deadwood below lost and office is laughable, and puzzling considering the source. move deadwood to 2 or 3 though and maybe find a way to squeeze in south part and the top 10 looks good

Love deadwood but lost is tremendous. There are definitely negatives but the positives outweigh them soooooooo much. Maybe its the geek in me.

I dunno, I would probably keep The Office above Deadwood, but DEFINITELY move Deadwood above Lost

also, I wouldve put Spaced & IT Crowd on that list somewhere

i've never met anyone who actually liked "Big Love"...was also suprised about exclusion of "It's Always Sunny" SORT OF...but the show has more of a frat-humor following than critical acclaim.

Hopefully excluding "South Park" was for reasons stated about it beginning in mid-90s.

Surprised as hell "eastbound and down" is on here just cause its only had one season.

notice how non-network drama themed the list is?

Flight Of The Concords? Seriously? Still, at least Entourage isn't on here.

Mad Men, Lost, Breaking Bad and The Office being better than Deadwood = complete lack of credibility.

You'd think The Corner would get some love since you can't move for johnny come latelies falling over themselves to praise The Wire nowadays.

Huff should really be on here, but, sadly, Blastmaster and i seem to be the only people who watched it.

the corner was technically a mini-series & not a full out tv series.. so i wouldn't even consider it eligible

pretty great list imo (although some of the order could be adjusted). nbc's the office @ #11 is some hilarious shit. how i met your mother is terrible

The Corner had as many episodes as a single series of, say, a British classic like Blackadder so it counts.

Speaking of Brit stuff, Peep Show should really be on here.

i agree with peep show

it's semantics.. but the difference is those uk shows classify themselves as tv series while the corner always intended to be a singular mini-series

related.. i never got into black adder

trendy revivalism aside the corner has has dated somewhat poorly in the context of the existance of the wire. it's still very watchable, but the wire improves on pretty much every aspect of it plus adds a whole bunch more.

always sunny is in a weird place, it started out as a cult hit of sorts and is now becoming a crossover success, but it doesn't quite have enough pull on either side of that equation to rate as a proper critical darling or a populist juggernaut.

No shit, but it's still better than at least 10 shows on this list.

Canadians ain't feeling Dwight? What's the deal, yo? I'm steady watching re-runs every day, and I can't stop laughing. I guess that it's just my particular sense of humor, though.

I haven't given the UK version of "The Office" a fair shot as of yet, but I've accumulated upwards of 10 episodes on my DVR. I'm glad that Adult Swim is airing 'em.

"The Corner" was an awesome one-time viewing experience, and I watched all of the episodes when they originally aired, so I guess that gives me some added credibility or something?

LOL at the resentment towards people who were late on "The Wire".

"The Corner" is too depressing to have any replay value, though. Meanwhile, I'm on Wire marathon #7.

That list is full of faggoid milktoast entertaintment. The Office is one of the least ghey shows on that list, from what I've seen (which isn't that much).

I still LOL when people say The Wire is the bestestetst TV-show everrr everrr. The fans are even worse than us Dark Knight fans
Whether to Jason of Philaflava or John Podesta, I will speak my fucking perspective openly
