I think I'm ranking Season 1 too low and I may have to go back to it, but I found that I liked Season 2 MUCH MORE than I initially gave it credit for and the fact it has led into so many great stories, especially in 5.

I think 5 is off to a GREAT start though.

5 will unquestionably be the most action packed of the 5, simply because they have to fit so much into 10 episodes.

I'd rank them

Season 3
Season 4
Season 1
Season 2

Not much different from Phila.

i wonder why yall rate season 1 so low? to me, it had lots of great moments, i could list them but im sure you know what i mean.
and there were characters like Dee, Wallace, Stink, Bird and young Bodie. on my second viewing i personally enjoyed it more than seasons 2 & 3 anyway. i would rank them 1=4>3=2, but i suppose that might change back and forth over time like with the tracks on Supreme Clientele.

I've watched the first 2 - can anyone confirm the 5,6,7 are real, if they are I will download for safekeeping. Really hope that 3,4 come out soon.

I don't rank it low, really. It's like picking perfect over perfect, pretty much. Season 1 of the Wire would be better than any other season of any other series pretty much in TV show history.

Season 3 is my favorite cause the whole Stringer/Avon dynamic was played so well.

i was just glad they have some episodes online early.
since i no longer have hbo, im perfectly content in waiting like i did last year when i did have it.

4,1,2,3.
but it really is a toss up, although i'll always put 3 last.
i hated the way they ended it with avon/stringer. it felt too thrown together for the sake of closing out that arc. i hope they dont do that for season 5.
