Best hockey game of all time?
I would say NHL 94.
I was god at this game. I could score with the triple deak, around the back of the net or using the one time.
Montreal was my team, no one could fuck wit Roy.
anyother contenders?

'93 through '95 were golden, but 95 was my shit. I forget but did they introduce create-a-player in 94 or 95? I thought it was the coolest thing ever when I created a team with all my friends on it and played through an entire season demolishing every team in my path. And the end of the season awards ceremony was awesome as well.
i agree..Move Free wrote:nhl 95 takes a dump on all other hockey games
it was too easy to score in 94, and although it was a revolutionary game, 95 took things to the next level.
an argument could also be made for 96, but it wasn't nearly as groundbreaking as far as animations and general smoothness of control
NHL95 is king..
i used to play all the time on XBand..

I still have a copy of NHL 95 at my parents house. I need to find that shit next time i go home so i can break it out for the summer.

94 was the first one with one-timers, right? One-timers changed the game entirely, that was the big step forward. Doug Gilmour was invincible in that game, it was ill.
95 polished it all up, but 94 got soooo much more play.
Honourable mention: Blades of Steel. It was fun in arcade way.
Brett Hull Hockey was alright, and it was the first one with play by play.

Ice Hockey was dope, I still play it.
Blades of Steel was great too, but I traded it for my beloved Rolling Thunder when i was a kid.
NHL 94 was dope. i disliked '95 but '96 was the shit.
I think that was the first game you could make trades in.
Wayne Gretzky's 3D hockey was dope too.
NHL 2002 was really dope for PS2 aswell. I played that shit sooo much.
There was also an arcade game that i never saw for any systems that I used to play all the time. I forget what is was called, but it was dope as fuck.
