Gamepark GP32

Im just reading up on this system... looks REALLY dope.

http://www.classicgaming.com/nestable/g ... 2_01.shtml

Imagine... for $220 getting a HIGH QUALITY 65k color screen thats 320x240, with backlight, using generic data storage, and is compatible with emulators for all your favorite old systems including N64, Genesis, SNES, NES, Master System, Atari, Arcade, etc. Granted the official games for the system are VERY limited, but emulators and roms are free. ;) Not to mention battery life is around 10 hours for no light or 5 for lit.

Anyone have experiences or opinions?

It always seemed interesting, but now that these new handhelds are out I've sort of lost interest. I never really had the money for one anyway. I was always sort of wary of the fact that there are zero English games for the thing, save for a couple odd homebrews and, of course, emulated titles. I read about people getting to play movies on this too.

Yeah I dont care about other games, the fact that I can get a 512 MB SMC card for like $50 and put hundreds of SNES games, NES games, Genesis games on it, ETC ETC is all I need to know.

Heres the list of emulators supported by it for sure:

Apprantly if you get the new "BLU" version, which is the only one I can find, it is about 10-12 hours realistically on 2 AAs with no backlight or 5-6 with the backlight. These are actual times, not advertised. So really, if you bring a couple AAs on a long trip youd be set, especially if you are like me and have rechargable NiMH AAs anyways.

If anyone buys it let us all know how it is. Even if I wanted to buy it 100% itd take me atleast a month or two to be able to get it. Looks very interesting to me though.

Yeah, I know a guy who bought one. There was nothing wrong with it, I think it just ended up being not that amazing since he never talked about it much. The game with the Princess, it's a beat em up, is supposed to be good. The official games are supposedly all generally pretty good, but the emu is the reason to buy it. I assume it all works relatively well, but maybe it gets old or something? THe guy never really talked about it much after initially buying it.
