Swap Magic discs.... Can they be bootlegged??

i just got a DVD burner..

i wanna play PS2 games that i rent... forever!!!

Do i have to buy a Swpa Magic disc set?..
or can i burn it?..
i found it on TorrentSpy..
but a couple flamed out assholes warned people not to bother..
i dont know if i should believe them..

I can explain to everyone WHY it won't work. The way that swap magic works is that most ps2 dvd's/cdroms have bad sectors at the beginning of each disc to ensure that each disc is original. Swap magic loads up the part of this disc to show it is an original (thats why you see the playstation logo then the load screen), then allows you to swap the disc using a slide too. The ONLY way to properly duplicate bad sectors is to use a pressing machine and to print the actual discs off themselves, no cd or dvd writer made can duplicate this. If the ps2 already has a mod chip installed this will work, but then again if it already has a mod chip installed why would you need a swap magic disc o_O? But anyway, thats why it won't work, hope that'll help people.
