It's on my computer at home, so I don't have access to it right now, but I will post it tomorrow if no-one hasn't already by then.

Actually, I just remembered I posted it elsewhere as well. Here you go:

Introduction
------------

We are floating through space, our vision constantly shifting, examining the stars around us. We hear screaming coming, we look around but we cannot find where the screaming is coming from. What is happening? Suddenly everything goes black. The scene changes.

A beautiful girl is facing us, she stands up and begins to walk. We realize that she is in an alleyway. She emerges from the alley and we begin to rise, away from her, revealing a clear shot of the monstrously large city that this girl lives in. Although this girl doesn't realize it yet, these screams are the cries of her home world, which is in it's death throws and she is the only person alive that can stop these screams and save this world.
Her name is Aeris (heiress) and she is the last surviving member of an all but extinct race that holds the key to defeating a powerful nemesis, which craves nothing less than the very destruction of the planet on which she lives.
Thus, begins Final Fantasy VII, a remarkable RPG that is masterful in all respects of good story telling and manages to move us, even while it confuses us to the point of sheer frustration.
If most of us were asked to describe the story of Final Fantasy VII in one paragraph (describing it in one sentence would be a run on sentence no matter how hard we tried), we would probably say something like, "Final Fantasy VII is the story of Cloud, Aeris, and their friends who try and save the world from Sephiroth and the Shinra, who are destroying the Earth.
Shinra is doing it by draining out the Earth's Lifestream, the lifeblood of the planet, which is the energy that all living souls are made of, through its large Mako Reactors. Sephiroth is doing it by summoning a giant meteor that is going to destroy everything, allowing him to converge with this energy and claim if for his own to become a 'God.'
Ultimately, the 9 heroes of the game defeat Sephiroth and all the members of Shinra (although Aeris loses her life in the process) and unleash Holy, the ultimate white magic, which is the only thing that can destroy the meteor.
It succeeds in doing so but also sucks the humans, who have been doing all this damage, back into the Lifestream, realizing that their existence was a terrible error.
This leaves only Nanaki, the teams sentient wolf-like friend, to live out his life propagating his species on the planet and remembering not to repeat past mistakes.

No, nowhere particularly good. Just the http://www.indelibility.com forum, which is Benefit's site, and http://forum.square-x.com, in which I rarely ever post. heh.

I would recommend you to check www.adventchildren.net, though. It is a great place to stay informed on the developments of the upcoming movie. They've got it all.

HOLY SHTI I READ THAT WHOLE THING!

a few comments

1. i never finished playing the game. i made it to the end fight with sephiroth and saved it. i never went back and beat it. i would have been PISSED because i didnt think about ANY kind of subtleties in this game. I just thought it was a kick ass game.

2. damn that shit was like a thesis paper or some shit! did you get an A? lol

3. i sold my copy of final fantasy 7 long ago, but now i have to rebuy it and play it again. i hope the old graphics dont turn me off.

thanks!

Final Fantasy 7 is the only final fantasy I have played. It took me about 59 hours to complete it. Very cool game, and a lot of fun.

I got news on the advent children movie. It will be released straight to DVD. And the deluxe version of it will have final fantasy 7 game included with it. So you can play it again if you don't have it. I am not sure if it is going to be the same game, or an updated version for ps2. Hopefully it is a updated version.

P.S. Fuck breeding Chocobos. That fucking blows.

This was the first rpg that I actually played to completion, I did everything you could possibly do in that game, when all was said and done I was still playing it over a year later and I had racked up about 90 hours of saved gameplay

The hype is unavoidable now, you should be worried about sticking with a 50 hour game with those dated graphics.

this game is amazaring......I remember the first time I beat it, I felt like I conquered the world..... I tried to play it again a year ago but the graphics are hard to swallow....... I like FF8 also...maybe just as much or more...... in fact I might break it out and play it... having multiple discs for one game was always a cool thing....

insert disc 2 :ohsh:

I'm a fan of RPG's particularly turn based, but some folks go too far with it.

FF7's graphics have aged badly, even if it was amazing you might be turned off by that.

If you're talking about the point-and-click games I think that those aged pretty well.

Supposedly, updates for FF 6-9 are all in the works. Hopefully they'll materialize someday.

I agree the game's weakest point is the graphics. But that becomes less of a problem once the substance gets a grip.

Also, Final Fantasy: Advent Children has a set date now. September 14 2005.
