Turning audio tracks into MP3's

How would I go about putting album into MP3 format to post up on yousendit?

I know this may be a dumb question.

Also, what does "ripping" a cd mean?

Ripping a CD essentially entails taking the audio files that are on a cd and extracting them to your computer, usually compressing the data into a format such as mp3 or aac.

There are a bunch of programs that will do this for you. I like CDex.

you may have to download a forceaspi program if it doesn't work right off the bat, but you should have no problems.

downloaded this today, at first I was getting an error message stating I cant access the path or file, I dont have permission however it seems to be working now even though I keep getting the error message

A rar file is a compressed archive, like a zip file. Use winrar to extract the contents.
