I'm lookin for a flatscreen , doesn't have to be a plasma, but i don't wanna big ass big screen thats all thick... but at least 42 inches, pause...and i don't want some no name brand...but i dont' know much about TV's...i wanna keep it at $2k pricewise.


any suggestions on which type of tv's are the best?

whats the diff between hdtv and hd-ready?


what should i buy?

HDTV's have a built in tuner so you can get local stations (provided they offer their broadcasts in HD) via an antenna.

HD-Ready, means the TV is capable of displaying HD broadcasts, but you need an HD cable box or satellite receiver.

at 2k, you probably want to look at rear projection sony wega lcds or samsung/mitsu dlps, or jvc dila

i suggest going to the store and deciding which one looks best

I got my Samsung DLP from onecall.com

I love it. Much better picture than the sony lcd.

Maybe a little out of you price range i guess....
