my laptop screen is fucked

i wake up this morning to an apartment full of lesbians, and my computer face down on the floor with dark lines all over the screen, like a shattered window, though nothing actually shattered. shit is fucked. are these things fixable, or do i have to start shopping for a new laptop all over again? fuck. fuck. fuck.

Replacing laptop displays is very expensive. I used to contract for a company that specialized in that. They weren't cheap.

Do you have your warranty info? I would read into that before doing anything.

Unfortunaty, the LCD screen is usually the most expensive part of a laptop, even more than the system board. most likely, it will not be covered under a standard warranty. A cracked display is hardly a manufacturers defect. However, if you did opt to get one of those "complete coverage" warranties, then you should be covered.
