Advance Wars 2 HELP!

I play my AW2 on my DS . AW2 is used so i dont have a booklet for it.

Ok so it seems to me that when i see i am losing i cant LOAD the game back to wher ei saved. I have to reset my system and then coninue the game. Its kind of a pain in the ass. No? Am i missing something do i have to power down to coninue?

shiit, i just killed my save file as well.

i tried yielding during a battle to see if i could continue from my original save.
