id like to rip some movies and bring em overseas...is that possible...?

gomets11 is both right :grin:

any decent ripping software will allow you to set the region of your ripped copy. find this setting and set it to no region (or all region, whatever's available)

usually this requires you to know what region your DVD is set for. in fact, i think you have to know the region regardless of whether you're gonna change it.

I use AnyDVD to rip DVDs and CloneDVD2 to burn them. I tick all these boxes in AnyDVD and it seems to work just fine. All my burned discs are region free: -

The only issues you might have will be related to playing an NTSC disc on PAL equipment and vice versa.
