They were like a baby Pharcyde, like Too Much Trouble was to the Geto Boys or Poison Clan was to 2 Live Crew.jamrage wrote:Can anyone give me a quick tutorial on these guys?
Where were they from? Sound like?
Better yet, worth copping?
From LA, sound a lot like the Pharcyde, but more uptempo and excitable. (At least as best I can tell from their 12"s, I haven't heard the album.)
Bucwheed, who did the majority of the rapping, still raps under the name Buc Fifty.
If I see this in a store, I'll probably buy it. It'd be nice to hear some vintage J-Swift production.
Is this hiphop? Hell no, this is war.
I've been trying to tell you that since How About Some Hardcore.

Disc 2

As Sensasional said, kinda like baby pharcyde.
the whole album was produced by j-swift right after he did bizarre ride, which got a lot of people really hyped about it.
Imagine the pharcyde if their whole first album was songs like Officer, Yo Mama, I'm the Type of Nigga, and Soulflower.
here's the video for class clown, you'll get a feeling for it
