super appreciated. they were very instrumental in my love for hip hop back in 92. great energy and dope beats. ahh man. i thought the second album was pretty ill which cats hated on but then the third one came and that shit was real ill. by 98 they had pretty much worn out thier welcome but mannnnn real dope!!!!

Always appreciated, one of my all time favourites, and one of the first groups I got into.

Here's a story, I got Hold It Down for free, it was fucking rad. I didn't really get into it at first, but holy shit... what an album

Hold It Down is their best, straight bangin' beats and gritty ass raps. Pete Rock, Premier and Easy Mo Bee all laced this shit.

Dead Serious is a close second for me on the strength of the original versions of Mic Checka and They Want EFX

my favourite rrecord of theirs is the 2LP remixes of They want efx, Jusseman, Mic Checka, If Only, Klap ya Handz and Straight out the Sewer

Their first two were edited but Hold It Down wasn't. I've never heard the two albums that came after that.

It's a lot like Brand Nubian's Everything Is Everything to me..

Nobody was checking for either of these artists at the time they dropped the LP's, but I copped and said "shit this isn't half bad"..But you never hear anything about it, and just assume that everyone thought it was trash..

Some good production on Hold It Down.

It's not like Das is reinventing the wheel or anything, but it's a cool listen.

I agree with everything you say (No) Diggedy, I have always loved Diggy Das and I think I did a post about them a while back...I still have faith that they will drop another dope album...in order for me it goes...

The last album was weak and I didn't buy or even download it...
