"Break`n Out", the compilation itself was produced by Scott La Rock & KRS-One of Boogie Down Productions. A year later (1988) all her hard work finally paid off because she became the 1st Canadian rapper to sign a deal with an American record label. First Priority/ Atlantic was her new home & it`s on this label that she teamed up with LA Luv to release her debut album
"Jamaican Funk - Canadian Style" in 1991. Michie`s collab`D with numerous artists throughout her career such as MC Lyte, Patra, Dream Warriors & Shabba Ranks. In 1995 she became a vocalist for the Alternative Rock/ Reggae band Raggadeath, they had singles with
"One Life" &
"Dance With The Devil". As an actor, she was featured in the CBC Television series

good looking! I was just getting to put a request up for this. I had converted a few tracks from my cassette a few years ago but just realized I didn't do "A Portion From Up North" with Sweet Ebony and I needs that.
Im definitely fan. Although not on the album, her joint "On This Mic" is a serious 88 underground favorite of mine, I play it all the time!
