Kid Hood - Drop The Bomb [demo] plus more random demos
Thanks to Steve Brock, Nobs, and Aleph for this!!
Another gem unearthed through the "Mapping Stretch n Bobbito Show" thread and all the hard work of Steve Brock, Nobs, and Aleph making this all happen.
I'm sure I'm not the only one here who wasn't aware of Kid Hood doing anything besides that Scenario remix verse. I actually had this on a tape I lost after a couple of days and always just remembered the hook and sample. But I thought for some reason it was a dJ who just passed, I had no idea it was Kid Hood. Before the song, Bob says thanks to El-P for the demo so I guess he would know more about this.

whooooooo-weeee
Download it here along with part 2 of the stretch n bobbito demo extravaganzas:
01. Parallax - WKCR Dj Scrappy Promo [ft. J Treds]
02. Gary Storm and Nova - Times Is Gettin Harder [demo]
03. KID HOOD - Drop The Bomb [demo]
04. Kool Keith - Cold Peein On Em [demo]
05. God Forbid - Set It [demo]
06. Akira - Test Tube Baby [demo]
07. Adagio - Boy And Girl Tale [demo version]
08. Otherized Fam - Mugshots [demo]
09. Pop - For Real [demo]
10. Unknown - Peanut Butter (ft Lord Sear)[demo]
11. Shadows In The Dark - Beyond A Shadow Of A Doubt [demo]
12. J Treds - Piece Of Mind [Planet Earth no hook demo]

Notes: I actually put all the dates on the demos in the comments of the file but stupidly typed over most of them with credits to steve brock, nobs, aleph, eclipse, and nes, cause that's where mostly all of these came from.
Track 8: Wasn't sure where the Mugshots one came from, someone separated it in the track id thread way back. Pretty sure it's Otherized Fam.
Track 10: No idea who it is but they must be from the CM mob cause Sear's on there. I just know it was called the "Peanut Buter Demo" but not sure if that's dukes name or the name of the track.

^No idea, Hectic. In fact, that's the only one on the comp that I wouldn't be able to find the date with a little searching. First time I saw it was near the beginning of the "Track ID's" thread.
Also, thanks to Lyrical Gymnastics for reminding me of that one.

I love it, thanks to Steve Brock, Nobs, Verge and Aleph. To say Stretch & Bob had gems during the 90's is an understatement. Kid Hood's flow and mic persona takes me back to an era of New York I miss. Here's my post: http://cratesofjr.blogspot.com/2011/05/ ... -wkcr.html

El-P tells us how the Kid Hood demo came about

http://cancer4cure.blogspot.com/2011/05 ... -bomb.html
yep thats the story. i tried to remember as well as i could when exactly it was done but i cant place an exact date. it was pre juvenile technics, so im guessing some time in 1992, which would make me about 17. it could also have been early 93. anyway hope that shines some light on this little piece of history for you guys.nobs wrote:El-P tells us how the Kid Hood demo came about

Damn, I didn't know you were working with Anttex. His one & only solo album is one of the most underrated records in rap history IMHO... Plus I heard Havoc (Mobb Deep) for the first time thanks to him.
What a pity you don't own the vocal tapes no more, but at least we now have a chance to listen to this incredibly dope track. God bless the dead.
