Dope post, i had this album aldready...and i have the "Buddah blessed it" instrumental too, it's really nice...but if i'm not mistaken, there's more 95 material in there, than 93 stuff...

Writing skills? Supernat was basically freestylin' on this album as he stated in mid-90s interviews.

Selectah is right, the scheduled release date was sometime in 1995.

By the way, Dinji Brown's beats on ND are nice.

Good upload. I never realized this album existed until about a year ago.
I actually copped most of it off of E Music, so I should have a higher quality rip. I'll try to find that.

Yeah, Supernat killed shit on here. And some of the beats were pretty sick, too. Dark, jazzy shit. I think 'Natural Disasters', 'Galaxy', and 'Black Amphibian' were my joints. 'Black Amphibian' I like probably because I had it on a radio tape back in the day and always thought it was nuts.

Okay, everything is 256kbps, except 6, 13, 15, 16 and 18.
Targeted release date was in 1995.

His freestyles were legendary.
I got a few from dirtywaters and Blockhead, I believe.
One day I gotta try to find all of those.
All from WNYU and WKCR. :gyeah:

so they were officially selling it in mp3 format?

did they ever put it out on cd?

^Yes, they had it officially released as mp3s, but I have no idea about on CD.
I've never seen it, but it may have had a small limited pressing.
I'm really not sure though.

Great album, good for a few listens. Is it me or does every song have the same kicks and snares?? All the drums sound strangely familiar, shit is still hard though, i aint hatin

I remember this album being available for download at Vinyl Addicts in Vinyl Addicts first incarnation....those were the days.

Just listened to this, wow those drums are used a lot huh?

Good album, I enjoyed hearing it again and while we are on a Supernat vibe, I'd like to request

Armageddon At Your Door 12" please

One of my friends said several Supernat albums were available in his and Zach Randolph's original home town of Marion, IN. Not sure if they were tapes or cds or if there were 2 or 3 albums.

I don't think I've ever listened to a Supernatural album. His freestyling abilities are impressive, but that thing he does at shows where he incorporates objects he takes from the crowd into his rhyme...that gets on my nerves real quick. Its generally the same verse every time.

Anyway, thanks for this.

This link is still alive. And as far as I know, this LP is from 1995, not 1993.

You know, I've been aware of this album for eons but I don't think I've ever heard it. Props, OG Bobby Johnson and V

I think you'll like it, aleph. I mean, it's basically like his old freestyles, except a little more focused. The beats are all kinda similar, probably same producer did the whole LP.
Personally, I find this shit dope and a good listen every once in a while.
Enjoy!

Yep, Djini Brown produced did the entire LP. Some of his best work imo. I heard rumors that Supernat did an album with KRS, but the only track that ever got released was Mind Tricks (the b-side to Buddah Blessed It, produced by KRS)

Word, thanks for the info. There's also that Kleptomaniac demo with Supernat and KRS, I wonder if the album was ever finished? Let me take a quick look for that demo.

Shit is phenomenal, imo, just download it without even giving it a second thought. :gyeah:

I know a while back I chopped it off a Bobbito tape that was upped somewhere online, and I eq'ed it some and fixed it a little. It was probably from dirtywaters so props to him.
And it was probably from 94 or 95.

Ok, big props for chopping/editing the track Verge, cuz this is fuckin DOPE!! I love hearin shit like this. A full Supernat/KRS album sounds even more appealing now. I'm sure KRS did this beat as well?

I was waiting for someone to rip this. Always loved the concept, like if you were let loose in an equipment store, where would you start? Like MC Lyte vs. Vanna White. I know there's more to that collabo just waiting to surface; hopefully before we die.

No doubt. I would guess that's a KRS beat, but I don't know for sure.

EDIT: Definitely a great concept track that not many know about.

thanks Verge, this is insane, the sooner the rest of these Supernat/ KRS outtakes surface the better. Thats gotta be a KRS beat, its very 'Ah Yeah'

here's a couple more freestyles off KMEL and a comp that some mighta missed [no fruity picks on the blog promo]

I gotta say, Nat destroys it on the KMEL rip with the live blow by blow subject matter [a ball game unfolds on the telly as he rhymes along, spittin the score, the players and his punditry live on air]. I was fortunate enough to interview him for a mag back in December 94 and he was one of the most down to earth MCs I ever had the fortune of knowing.

No prob, Craig, yeah I peeped that interview when you first posted it but just left a comment now. Good shit with those freestyles too.

Also, don't forget that "Topics" freestyle I posted earlier in this thread. I'm not sure if Nat was the first emcee to rip on live topics off the dome, but I'm sure he was the first to do it so ill.

nobody did it better, does Supernat still tour or do the festivals, I need my fix of that goodness sometime soon
