Yahman definitely a banger, I bought this CD used about 12 years ago, just on the strength of the tracklisting (without hearing a song) and was not disappointed. Nowadays "Stay Fresh" is my favorite, that beat still bangs

This album has some okay beats and Kirk has an interesting style but really this album is pretty forgettable.

yeh some nice beats from mark spark on this but this kirk guy is the most amazingly basic lyricist ever. I don't think super complex lyrics make a track good but when it's "yo...feel the beat boom...Im in my room...kick it with a fat groove...because its like smooth...and really fat...never ever wack..." type of thing on every track it kind of grates a bit.

For the record, I never said the album was classic, I just said it was great NYC boom bap and a good album, I dig it more for the beats and I enjoy playing it loud.
