Naw, he likes hip hop and rap. He was just referring to if he hadn't started rapping he would've been a cop.
So he's cursing it, not that he doesn't like it, just for the sake of it.

The production on this joint is on some next shit. Probably the illest sinister beat Finesse ever made.
My vote goes to the Funky Man

Buckwild, didn't have to really think about it. I always forgot or didn't realize that Finesse did that Channel 10 beat for CNN, love that one. His intro for the Jewelz beat for O.C. was simple but dope. The one with the keys.
Kool Keith: I wore a straw hat with a feather to the last Source Awards. When I got to Madison Square Garden everybody was looking at me. When I got back home I seen everybody and their mother in their video wearing a fuckinג€™ straw hat with a feather in it.

Tim Dog: ג€œWhat Kool Keith gonna wear? Iג€™m gonna do that shit in my video. Iג€™m gonna wear that shit really quick. Whatג€™s Tim Dog gonna wear?ג€

Yeah that's a nice song. Finesse always seemed to have a certain knack and imagination for creating dark sinister beats which I felt stood out from Buck, Diamond or Show's work. I think I'll choose Finesse just slightly over Buck when considering that aspect of his production ability to create dark beats.

My favorite dark beat by Finesse thus far is Brainstorm. The time when he premiered that beat up on WKCR and rhymed over it live about a year before The Awakening dropped remains one of my favorite memories of the Stretch & Bob show.
