Yeah, calling this classic would be a lie, but I do think it's a solid album. No front, definitely enjoy more than half of the tracks.

It could have been a longer album. Seemed too directly connected to that Lyricist Lounge Ecko thing.... Manifesto was great for Kweli. They could have went without a track or three. Their soundbombing shit was kind of weak to me. They should have at least made another album after both solos. May get old but I know some people are blowing out of proportion how easily processed this album was. Its like til one official comes along its on pause and they say "Not that great" then everyone hates. A little sing song for me but the Definition-Re definition transition is something Ill always remember from the first listen. Hi Tek's sputtering 1200 was superb then. Kweli and Hi Tek came a long way from the Mission/Mood days, but that is probably where you will hear more of Kweli's decent material. Now Reflection Eternal was nice to me and this Black Star album accompanied it well. Borderline classic after the storm blows over if the label didn't say Rawkus. The inside cover is comedy though with the No Limit parody (only on the first release). They were standing up for us though. Shit. :pause: :ohsh:  :megaman: :phila:

I enjoy Mood quite a bit more than this album, or any solo albums of theirs (haven't heard much Kweli cause I don't like him, Black On Both Sides I enjoy more than this album as well).

I always thought this album was pretty overrated by the newjacks, but it was a solid album all the same with even a few classic songs on it.

Astrology is the ultra simple highly effective Beatminerz shit

The Two Mood Lps are just excellent, that was what Hi-tek was really about to me.

Kweli is just boring, a no-flow strategy as a technique aint a technique, its just long sentences. He thought he was P. Asia maybe. He really gonna lung collapse sometimes, and surely he aint Copywrite ot Percee P. Plus his supa preacher character is just annoying.

The cover of the BS LP was dope though

The other Mood under Mission Control. Have not listened to this in a while n was about to post but searched the forum luckily it was already done in February. Just came in for the first time in a couple months and noticed this bullshucks that shouldnt be going on. The good olds are always decent. So I guess the world is better off without alot of exceptional shit. Done. :ignore:
