Although, they are best known for the melodic "Stabbed By The Steeple" that featured a very young Will.I.A.M of the BEP (then A.T.A.B.A.N. Klan). The majority of the album was produced by EPIC, who is best known for his the pop hit a few years back, 'come come my lady, you're my butter fly, suger baby...'A really dope album nonetheless.
I have a radio-promo copy of this c.d., still play it every once in a while, but I guess I'm biased. "Stabbed By The Steeple" is definitely my joint.

I wouldn't think this was all that obscure. I still have my tape. Don't have my singles from the album any more. "Bow Wow Wow" was on clearish/blueish wax if memory serves me correct.

I always wanted a copy of this. I had a promo cassette of one of their tracks. Never saw the album in any store.
Managed to find a copy of the album used a while back. It's really good, though there are a couple of standout tracks that are head and shoulders above the rest....
Is this hiphop? Hell no, this is war.
I've been trying to tell you that since How About Some Hardcore.
I don't think it's rare or anything, I actually only first bought it about two years ago..but its become one of the albums that I keep in constant rotation. Nobody really ever comments on it, maybe its just me.
Cryptic,
If you have this on wax and are willing to trade or sell outright, hit me up.

Lastly, and this is for me.. I saw an interview with Mr.Voodoo from Natural Elements where he said the shelved NE Tommy Boy album does exist.. Does anyone have this?

This is a solid album, Dred Scott had a really cool style and some great themes and topics. A lot of nice samples too. My only complaints are the repeated use of the same drums over half the album and that the 'Check the Vibe" remix wasn't included.

Not too obscure at the time, but I'm sure most people don't know about it and it's become very hard to find. Twista's best work. The beats are nice, although somewhat dated, and he's not as polished as he is now, but still very entertaining in a novel, Chip-Fu sort of way. Anyone know how much a copy goes for nowadays?

They also had these 2 incredible b-sides that I only have on faded cassettes.. Do you happen to have "Ism and Blues" and/or "Hip Hop Lifestyle" on mp3?
i still bump this pretty regularly... beats are bangin' and e-vocalist ripped pretty much every track. whatever happened to him? i think it was also the first time mystic appeared on wax, but i could be wrong.
A lot of people hype the Hard 2 Obtain album up like it's "funky technician", "follow the leader", "only built 4 cuban linx", "black bastards", "stress.." status..
It isnt..
It's good but not that good.
You can get the Scientifik album from ughh.com, i think..
