Rah Digga-Everything Is A Story
You know the version that leaked in 2007? Offhand, how does it compare to the one she released? I haven't heard it in such a long time but noticed that Game's feature isn't on the Bandcamp one.

Which album are you referring to?

I didn't go through the whole thread but I'll add these:
Little Indian's LP on Premeditated Records
Alien Nation album on Pallas Records (they got dropped for Crucial Conflict)
Sunny Cheeba's 12" on Lethal Records (dude from Punk Barbarians)
Brooklyn Zoo album "Masters Of The Zooniverse" (?), most of the members ended up in jail

Re: Saukrates-Father Time
I remember hearing two different versions of that - I think, both were tape rips probably the same one renamed. Can't remember it, thinking Father Time sounded ever so slightly different. The audio quality was bad, very bad. Did he end up working for Redman and then just disappear?Verge wrote: yeah man, i'd love to hear that. I remember seeing an ad for it in a magazine way back.
Kool Keith: I wore a straw hat with a feather to the last Source Awards. When I got to Madison Square Garden everybody was looking at me. When I got back home I seen everybody and their mother in their video wearing a fuckinג straw hat with a feather in it.
Tim Dog: גWhat Kool Keith gonna wear? Iגm gonna do that shit in my video. Iגm gonna wear that shit really quick. Whatגs Tim Dog gonna wear?ג

He got signed to gillahouse/def jam and sat on the shelf... save a few guest features and maybe one random 12" single that was about it on Def Jam

Re: Notable Rap Albums Never Released Officially
Never knew about this one (sold on eBay the other day) but I'd definitely be interested in hearing it.

Re: Notable Rap Albums Never Released Officially
I don't think this was mentioned here, but the Jungle Brothers' Crazy Wisdom Masters is one I'd love to see get an official release, especially with the title track that never leaked.
I'm still dreaming of a superior version of KMD's Black Bastards, since the official release sounds more like a bootleg.
Oh yeah, obviously Pay Jay, or The Diary, or whatever it's now called.
Does the InI album count as not having gotten a proper release? Or is Pete Rock just out of his mind? I've heard stories about his revisionist memories and statements.

No problem, here's the link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/trends-of-cultu ... 2591f77a8f" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
It sold for $72 which isn't much compared to how crazy these things sometimes go. Although the singles weren't amazing, I'd still like to hear the album.

Re: Notable Rap Albums Never Released Officially
Thx for your quick response. Indeed a decent price for a rare promo item. Wonder if this album got released as a promo in other formats as well...

Re: Notable Rap Albums Never Released Officially
Given how long it's taken for the tape to surface (and that those tracks aren't mastered), I'd say CD/wax versions are highly unlikely.
Re: Notable Rap Albums Never Released Officially
Did that seller have any other goodies?
Re: Notable Rap Albums Never Released Officially
I know i shared it with yall awhile back but ras kass is selling "Goldyn Chyld" digitally on his bandcamp for 10.00. Flac and MP3
