Jigga Gloss, please add "Splurge" as Verge's custom title under his name.
 please no. that shit was an embarrassment. Especially that he went on to gay his self up in the future. I mean if it was Bumpy Knuckles or some shit, well, it wouldn't be so bad. Lol

Word up, there need to be more hip hop photography books. The only four I can think of are: Hip Hop Files, In Ya Grill, Oh Snap! and Who Shot Ya?, but it'd be nice to have one strictly of promo pics.

Don't forget Jamel Shabazz's Back In The Days and A Time Before Crack. Kangols, Cazals, Puma suedes, Lees, Jordaches and personalized buckles galore.

I remembered those like right after I posted that, how could I forget.

There's also And It Don't Stop, Behind the Beat, Maripolarama, Public Access and there's actually a new one dropping in less than a month called True Hip Hop.

So yeah there're probably a good dozen of them but still, we could always use more.

Anyways, the Wax Poetics "Cover Art" books are pretty cool coffee table books, too. Not a lot of hip hop covers, but still some cool shit to have.
But yeah, I co-sign a promo or rare pics book.

There's around 100 pics, about 70% from the West Coast & South (a lot of Rap-A-Lot pics). All of them are UNSIGNED!

Props.

Would appreciate a better version of this, anyone:

Grass got mad shit, yo. Hit me up if you ever decide to sell a few vinyl pieces.
Thanks for that Double XX pic, Mad Human. Their block was up the street from me back in the day but I have no ties to anybody anymore.

Totally agreed, and I wouldnt be surprised if Andrew Emery from Fat Lace Magazine did something similar, his 'Book of Hip Hop Cover Art' is top choice and those boys are deeply involved in the strangest of Hip-Hop ephemera...

The Yes, Yes Yall book is THE tome for pics from the Hip-Hop archives, but probably too throwback for the clientele round here, the Janette Beckman book The Breaks is sick too...

Here's some more press shots/ press sheets/ head shots...

I 2nd that, thank a lot for your work Bigg Boss. Here's my post to share your photo collection with other who may not be a member of this forum: http://cratesofjr.blogspot.com/2012/05/ ... e-hip.html

I never thought I'd see this many promo pics at once but I definitely remember some of them in my days of visiting record stores. I definitely appreciate this collection as a visual artist, it's just what I needed to add to my archive which will allow me to have good reference to create works of art from in the future and just a good source of photography in general to draw inspiration from. I'll be sure to post any portrait drawings I do from these pics here at the forum.
