There was a time where Smoothe was my favorite current rapper. I wish he never fell off.
smoothe got lyrics for days...he was flippin crazy styles on that album, dope dr period production, one of the best singles of the year...and the last track dedicated is a personal fav....plus trigga performance on this album was just as good as smoothe's..

Nice to see 10 for yes. I'm one of them but like Mag said it's prolly for personal reasons. I remember seeing Smoothe in the back of the Source (Sure Shot Singles) in his Nike B-ball outfit for the single "Hustle." I just knew it was gonna be dope.
Trigga tha gambler's 'welcome to this world' > any song on this album. but on to the topic. very dope album, but i woudnt put it on classic status cause there are a few tracks i skip.
It was so uncut and raw, especially for a debut. To me Smoothe Da Hustler > DMX. Sure when DMX came out and blew up it was huge, but he didn't really age all that well in my opinion. He was a lot more successful than Smoothe, but i just feel like one was a complete hard rock and the other was just sort of a nutcase.
In the grand scheme of things i'd put this as classic for all of the true head, this dude is an MC reasons before i would It's Dark and Hell Is Hot. I think this has a lot to do with my age though.
