yes

smoothe got lyrics for days...he was flippin crazy styles on that album, dope dr period production, one of the best singles of the year...and the last track dedicated is a personal fav....plus trigga performance on this album was just as good as smoothe's..

To me, it's dope all the way through, has crazy replay value 12 years later, and made a major impact on me. Therefore, it's a personal classic.

Nice to see 10 for yes. I'm one of them but like Mag said it's prolly for personal reasons. I remember seeing Smoothe in the back of the Source (Sure Shot Singles) in his Nike B-ball outfit for the single "Hustle." I just knew it was gonna be dope.

Yes.

It was so uncut and raw, especially for a debut. To me Smoothe Da Hustler > DMX. Sure when DMX came out and blew up it was huge, but he didn't really age all that well in my opinion. He was a lot more successful than Smoothe, but i just feel like one was a complete hard rock and the other was just sort of a nutcase.

In the grand scheme of things i'd put this as classic for all of the true head, this dude is an MC reasons before i would It's Dark and Hell Is Hot. I think this has a lot to do with my age though.
