Headbangers Ball has been spinning the video for Beautiful Tragedy quite a bit lately and that shit got stuck in my head.

DLed the album to see what it was all about and it was pretty much what I expected- semi-formulaic metalcore with an emphasis on melody, emoish string parts and a female singer. Basically Evanescence with more double bass, more chunka chunka riffs and more tattoos.

Sounds awful, I know, but for some reason it's working for me. Not going to top my Best of 07 list or anything, but figured I'd post up something I'd been checking out lately and see what you all thought.

as you probably would have guessed, I think this is awful and generic and shouldn't exist.

I would fuck her until her shoes filled up with blood, though.

yeah, they are type but I've definitely heard worse shit on "normal" radio.

i swear every time i watch hbb either this or lacuna coil is playing.

Does a good job of summing up how I feel about them.

Never going to be my favorite shit, but I think Beautiful Tragedy makes a better hit single than most hit singles.
