This album is so dope. It's called "Spirit If..."
basically if you like Broken Social Scene.. its just the male lead singer.
its very collaborative and sounds as though the band just said... ehh Feist and Emily Haines... keep doing your solo shit... we got this.
I guess, its a good and a bad thing. Some of my favorite BSS songs feature those ladies, but this album is still awesome.
I feel like it came out of nowhere as well, I hadn't heard of any buzz about it until I saw a review on Pitchfork.
Right now my favorite songs are:
Gang Bang Suicide - his vocal patterns on this are fantastic
F-Ked up Kids
Tbtf -- which stands for "Too Beautiful to Fuck"
this could be one of those albums for me, that I don't rant about much, but as the year ends in retrospect I probably listen to more than I realize.
