Never. And honestly, I might consider trying it, if not for the fact that most of his threads in general (and his music threads in particular) are incredibly long, rambling lists of who the fuck knows what with some bonkers Jesus name-dropping. I look at that shit like, "Am I supposed to quit my job to download a bunch of music that I stand a good chance of not liking anyway?" I suggest Sebastian select the cream of the crop--not the oddball music that only coked-out warlords and confused white kids with dreads get into--that has the best chance of being enjoyed by the multitude, and post just THAT.

I've got Blondie's The Hunter on CD, but there is a lot of music you just don't have to share.

i was thinking this too. if he could cut down his ridiculous lists to one or two songs that he feels are indispensable i would be more likely to check them out.

i was going to reply to one of his recent threads with something to this effect but decided not to encourage him for fear of inciting more threads or giving the impression that i'm a soca sympathizer.

Yes... I D/Led from one of the early threads he started in Curb... this was before I knew much about him. I remember him writing "This really cooks."

Needless to say, the song sucked.

Yes i have given it a download and i got some shit that was essentially some dude singing over a casio keyboard demo. Needless to say it was incredibly corny and just out right terrible. Worst uploader on the :phila: handsdown.

The Porgy And Bess soundtrack performed by Louis and Ella.
Good shit from Sebas. Maybe he should stick to jazz.

If I was some eclectic beat maker I would download his stuff for weird samples.

But I'm not, so my answer is no way in hell.

i want you to count the soca songs on one finger, by the way, just for kicks!

and dont tell me its the same because i know you dont know. i can stand not digging soca, soca is corny. (still funky) but dont for one second think its like any of the other shit i posted.

you not heaering of them = so what, that probably means its good. look up the artists if rolling stones or village voice or spine isnt covering it dont forget where hip hop started, and who did and did not know. same with jazz or punk for that matter.

do yourself a favor next time and pick two songs for yourself. i listen to too much music, but if i upload it, it means i think it is worth hearing. this should be self explanetory.

lol, you are talking about sheldon douglas right? that was a pretty corny song. you should download the swallow or merchant songs or some of the old house or soul music in the dance thread. (eddie palmiery and harlem river drive, quincy jones et al) its a LOT better

its like public enemy. you have giving the people what they want vs giving the people what they need.

to the 29 people that voted no, your opinions on this type of music are worth what, exactly? do i have a point? isnt it obvious that this behavior is like the guys in dilbert who salute and hit their eye, stick out their tongue and bug the other eye out, what you guys are doing?

if all the stuff you post is equally good to you, i'm willing to bet it would sound equally shitty to me. if you can't differentiate the best tracks from the rest, it doesn't do much for your case here.

if you post one or two examples of classic, cream of the crop tracks of whatever you're in to, i'll listen.

Look, maybe you have all day to sit around uploading music and making posts containing thirty or more uploads for people to check, but I don't have time to be the one to check them. If you don't give a shit whether I listen to the music you post or not, then we are in perfect agreement over the matter. But if you want some kind of response other than "fuck outta here with that bullshit," then post something coherent and useful.
