If you can't admit Don't Stop Believin is the greatest song ever written, I dont' want nothing to do with you

if you don't believe me, ask some drunk girls

let have this be a massive journey appreciation thread with uploads and drunk sex to journey stories

i encountered a group of these lost souls at a bar on saturday, they were all standing in a corner together drooling and staring at their shoes uncomfortably while drunk girls gyrated all around them

my pity and disgust for them inspired this thread

The top 3 Karaoke songs of all time:

1. Don't Stop Believing
2. Living On A Prayer
3. Love Is A Battlefield

Honorable mention: Baby Got Back

I contest anyone to this list.

Basically, if you do, you realize you're vying to see who's the bigger loser of us two.

I would replace Love is a Battlefield with Like a Prayer probably.

Top 3 in terms of awesomeness or how often they're sung? I used to host Karaoke back in my green days, and the most often sung were

1. Baby Got Back
2. I Will Survive (EVERY GIRL AT SOME POINT IN HER LIFE WILL DRUNK-SING THIS SONG AT KARAOKE).
3. ANYTHING by John Cougar Mellencamp.

Top 3 in terms of dopeness:

1. Folsom Prison Blues (by haggard old men, or alternately tuxedoed Asian men who sing it phonetically)
2. Take on Me (by me)
3. I Touch Myself (by hot girls. High five!)

I was going strictly by popularity. But then again I've definitely noticed a divergence of style when travelling from Brooklyn to Manhattan...the former tends to celebrate more off-the-cuff performances whereas Manhattan bars are all about the more popular tunes. This obviously matters on the bar on a case-by-case basis, but in my experience, the benchmarks are always Journey and Bon Jovi, whether male or female singing.

I used to see "I Will Survive" done a lot, but not in several months and not since the last time I stepped foot in a midtown karaoke bar. I agree with you though, it generally is done by every girl at least once in their life, to fulfill at least one cliche before they die.

I haven't seen "Jack and Diane" done much. Again, this may be a regional thing.

Thinly veiled this is where we drop our top 5 Journey songs thread?

1. Don't stop believin'
2. Who's crying now?
3. Only the young
4. Wheel in the sky
5. Girl can't help it

I've never had sex to Journey but i know a myriad of the fairer species who love to get fucked and sucked to the strains of Heart.

weel in the sky keeps on turning.

i have a journey story. so im at a friends house hanging out and hes on his phone talking to someone and i hear him say "nah its too far I'll catch you later" he hangs up.We are sttig around with no plans and he says "you didn't want to see journey right?' I said hell yes who was that? He tells me It's his ffriend from staten island who's now the lead singer for Journey. He said the guy used to be in a punk band as was laying dry wall then landed a gig as Steve Perrys replacement. Anyway He said it was too late to call back. What a nice come up for that dude though.

I guess thats seven degrees of seperation.

I had the Atari 2600 game...

terrible game.. never could figure out why it was tied to Journey the group (I think the object of the game was to save them?)

Or why one of the characters looked like the Kool-Aid man.

Yeah, I don't think there can be a question that "Don't Stop Believing" is the best song of all time. Anyone who thinks otherwise has either been infected by the rock critic virus or just hates white people.
When we act, we create our own reality. And while you're studying that reality -- judiciously, as you will -- we'll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that's how things will sort out. We're history's actors . . . and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do.

straight up
IMHO, there is no lyricist now or before that can match the lyrical dexterity of Qwel.
