I actually just finished reading American Hardcore: A Tribal History by Steven Blush. The DC/Dischord/Minor Threat category was a good read. Nothing in the book is totally unque information but the book keeps you pretty amused with the conflicting recounts and rare photos/fliers. Its pretty much broken down into regional sections and has a pretty good cast of musicians, scenesters and writers from the Golden Era. Being a lifelong hardcore fan and having read some of the other books this one comes recommended for 20 bucks.
check it out

Good read. Reggie lent it to me once for a tour. It was a good read. The doc based on the book is pretty cool too

That book has pretty much the best collector's index as an Appendix. It rivals Kill From the Heart

This is a good look back at the Youth Crew era.
If you were a fan back then, you'll dig it, sXe or not.
