no, sorry all his songs are terrible, if hes really that talented he should start writing good music, my roommate a few years ago used to play this i wanna run through the walls of my high school song, what a rubbish piece of crap that was, i have never heard anything remotely good by him and the fact that other people hate on him is just a bonus

those smirks are smirks of "jesus christ the kids good, i just wish he'd stop being so damn ghey"

i'll cosign you deepfried.
i've long been an advocate of Mayer's stuff. his pop stuff is terrible. Vommit inducing almost.
however, his blues material is fantastic imo.
people here don't care though. if the dude is not thrashing on his guitar, banging his head with waist length hair that only 35 year old men that live with their mothers rock, and screeching in a demonic vocal tone talking about death in a covertly emo way, then it's not for Rick Rubin.

His singles are god awful, bland, chick rock bullshit. However, Continuum is a great record and really shows how much of a good guitar player and good songwriter the guy can be when he wants to. That said, I still would not admit to being a John Mayer fan in any capacity publicly. His pop shit is that bad.
I've always really enjoyed John Mayer and have said it many times on here. Continuum was an amazing album last year and while the single was still bad it was still better than any of the previous ones. That body is a wonderland daughers bullshit is what it is but you can't deny the man makes great albums overall.

The run through the halls of my high school song and "Wonderland" are gay as all hell, but you can't front on a song like "Gravity." Will upload when I get home.

I could drop and SRV gem but that would be too obvious. This dude would mop the floor with John Mayer and his Hollywood blues. Fuck that glamourous shit. and fuck Clapton too. This is my dads good buddy Kenny Brown.

dude, i listen to some seriously lame shit, i mean, i love the jonas brothers for god's sake, so of course im not the kinda person to hate because it's "cool", i just simply cannot STAND john mayer.
i was forced to see him live years ago with a friend of mine and it was miserable. i cannot stand his voice or his cocky ass personality. he reminds me too much of dave matthews.

it is possible for someone to be extremely skilled on an instrument yet terrible at writing songs. steve vie anyone? i've seen john mayer play some really dope guitar but i am yet to hear a non-awful song of his. admittedly, i haven't peeped much of his shit though. i'd be curious to hear what his non pop shit sounds like. he's definitely got a molesters singing voice though.
