There may be Bon Jovi albums to be embarrassed of owning, but those are not two of them.

Some here may not consider this embarrassing but Master P - The Ice Cream Man.
Nothing like the "Suburban white kids bumping No Limit records" craze of the mid-90's.
In my town/at my school it seemed like people didn't like rap that wasn't "hood" enough because they didn't consider it authentic or it was too nerdy.
I bought that and ATLiens on the same day. Guess which one still gets bumped?

wow. this is my first time in this thread.
I saw bon jovi twice when they dropped slippery when wet. the first time at the brendon byrne arena at the meadowlands and they were actually opening up for 38 special. the second a year later at msg they were headlining and cinderella was opening for them. both shows rocked.
my best friend at the time's uncle was a big wig in the marketing department at polygram so we got to go back stage for the msg show. The same guy got us tickets for David Lee Roth at MSG during the open up and say ahh tour. also killer.
if you are embarrassed by slippery when wet, and/or cinderella well you are just way to uptight for me. By the way everyone focuses on "dont know what you got" by cinderella, but the real gem is "Nobodies Fool" thank you. good night.

Bon Jovi is nothing to be embarrassed about.
I started this thread because I was thinking about all those weird novelty CDs that you asked your mommy to buy you when you were younger because your taste in music was not fully developed (although I'm sure most would think my taste still sucks).
Or stuff you bought on impulse only later to snap out of it and be like
Basically the equivalent of a prepubescent girl listening to Miley Cyrus or the Olsen Twins now. Do you think they are still going to be rocking that shit in their twenties and thirties?
p.s. Sublime is great and I like some of 311's earlier stuff (although I am not a fan of the light "rapping" that they employ in a lot of their songs)

your damned if you do and your damned if you dontLameAim wrote:Bought the Kris Kross debut on tape and returned it the same day. Single was fire but hated everything else on it.
Returned it saying it was defective and got a copy of "The Simpsons Sing The Blues" instead. Still proud of myself for that one.

Warm It Up Kris > Jump
And "The Simpsons Sing The Blues" is the stuff this thread is made of!

...wait, you're serious?
well, damn. I don't think I'd be able to listen to those today, without cringing into convulsions.
hm, lemme take another swing at it. I remember buying this record...

...and dancing around in my boxers to "We Didn't Start The Fire."

Well, thanks for making me feel better about my Cinderella purchase. I'm not even sure what drew me to them when I was 7. I can barely remember. I don't think I have listened to anything from them since about 87-88 but I pride myself in being born with good taste in music so I guess I will rescind my embarrassment.
