Yeah, I'm still really digging it. Listened to it a ton when I first got it, went through a brief lull when I thought it wouldn't make it to sustained rotation, now back full force.
My original observation, that it wasn't "as good" as Assassins, is really kind of irrelevant. They're just totally different. And both fucking awesome.

sounds good. I havent given it a spin yet because i was cautious after Voice Of Sturn which I thought sucked. I plan to give it a spin tonight.Masked Terror #1 wrote:This Zoroaster is pretty cool.
These guys have come a long way. Sounds nothing like Dog Magic, in a good way.
They're underlining the Southern in Southern sludge and throwing some cool psyche and classic rock shit in there too.
MT and DLG give that Bastard Noise a spin and let me know what you think.

Easily one of the best albums I've heard this year. Great fucking metal from Minnesota. An awesome combo of black metal, crust, sludge and some occasional doom. If you like shit I upload, you're guaranteed to dig this. Don't sleep.
I'm digging this. Good mixture of everything I love. Where did you find out about these dudes?

you should really go check out Sanfords band before Minsk. Buried At Sea are widely regarded as one of the heaviest bands ever.Masked Terror #1 wrote:My homey that promotes shows here in NY put me up on them. He's trying to bring them here soon.
The album was produced by Sanford Parker. The more I hear from that guy, the more I realize I like everything he does. Except his own band, Minsk. They're just OK.

has been a great year for newer bands.
When people think of Providence, Rhode Island they typically think of organized crime

that's cool then. you're more into the less compressed, fuzzier sound, which I'm down with as well
, but I have a greater boner for this type of shit that Gojira plays. the precision is bludgeoning, Meshuggah probably still wins as far as that sound goes in a live setting, but Gojira are not that far behind.
any info on what shitstorm sounds like? do they have recordings?
It has become very clear to me in the last couple of months that Torche - Meanderthal is classic status, I'm pretty pissed at myself for not delving into it as much earlier and not putting them in my top 20 of the decade which I ran down last year.
