fuck fuck fuck

so it's a dead end

i actually just found the cd, got it from rapidshare

i didn't pay close enough attention to the tracklist unfortunately. the murderer dubplate IS indeed on there, for about 20 seconds starting at around 7 minutes into track 15. That's because track 15 in itself is actually a 15 min long snippet of a sound clash, something i failed to notice in the discogs page.

:fail:

and that's about the only mention of it i found anywhere, so unless you wanna rob rodigan's house for the actual plate we're shit out of luck for the moment

it's still not a total loss though, you win some you loose some. the same cd also has alpha blondy's cover of Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here, which incidentally i just heard played live this weekend by the man himself. I've been meaning to track down. funny little coincidence.

Thanks alot for this. I have no idea what it is, but the lineup can't miss.

Also, I've searched fucking EVERYWHERE for a full rip of the Gangstalaw Riddim, and I can only find it on torrents, which I dont fuck with. Anyone who could get that for me I would be eternally indebted to.

You just want a instrumental of the gangstalaw riddim? I think I can do that...just depends on speculations.

For Right now I got DJ Seen? and Pete Bodega mixing some of the doper cuts from 2009. This is straight up dancehall and we didn't throw too much shit over the top but this is actually like 40 records that we beatmatched then switched them back and forth like they are battling or responding to one another. I'll get the tracklist up if anyone wants it but it's long because we do so much mixing. Nevertheless its dope and if you throw it on a party where anyone respects dancehall they'll dig it. Back with more Records soon and if anyone has any requests feel free to ask.

Image

http://rapidshare.com/files/244198773/D ... co__21.zip

I can split any of the cuts also if people want me to just so much damn mixing involved.

Allright now to a classic Roots Album.

You are still looking for that? And OK I'll throw up some dancehall cuts...warning to cats out there you know we don't want any of the MULTITUDE of Bullshit that exists in Newer Reggae so lets try to make any Reggae in here DOPE. No Rules Just has to be Reggae and be ill. Maybe the thread will blow up I know I've been slipping after saying I was going to put a ton of shit up.

No More And maybe we will find that rockers DVD rip.

Oh yeah, there is a little roots type music on that Seen? and Bodega but it's all new. Jamaican Club Shit.

Throw on "A Song" off the Pablo Moses Record or "Armagideon" from the Bunny Record to gear some of the illest progressions ever in reggae music. Sinister Keys, Guitar and Basslines. Peter Tosh does a good job on Bunny's Record and these are both dope.

You are a man of unparalleled savagery. Thank you so much. I owe you.

edit: I've tried DLing from zshare and I get the "download link," i click it, then wait for the time to elapse, click "start here," and it just sends me back to the download page again. It's a vicious cycle of babylonian tricknology. What a gwan? Is it me or has anyone else had this kinda problem?

i'd love to see them live

just saw burning spear last night for free in Prospect Park in bk. i know a girl who works the vip concession, she got us in right to the stage with free beers and all. the dude rocked for like 1.45 pretty much non stop and i was about 10 feet away from him the whole time with a crowd of about 12-14thousand behind me. it was pretty amazing.

no shit, i didn't think of that, thank you.

i did some research on the band, some interesting stuff turns up about them being one of the first bands to heavily feature a rock influence. apparently the dude has also been kinda prolific behind the scenes too.

Thanks for all the dub/reggae joints. I'm finding a lot of gems here. Here's an album I can't get enough of

Image

Linton Kwesi Johnson - Forces of Victory

1. Want Fi Goh Rave
2. It Noh Funny
3. Sonny's Lettah (Anti-Sus Poem)
4. Independent Intavenshan
5. Fite Dem Back
6. Reality Poem
7. Forces of Vicktry
8. Time Come

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=VOY3FWNC

and here's some info:
Amazon.com
With 40 pumping minutes of dread lyricism, Linton Kwesi Johnson's 1979 Island Records debut finds reggae's top poet full of confidence and rhythmic elasticity. This album also marks the first time the proud, angry young man bounced his rhymes off former Matumbi-bassman leader Dennis Bovell's dense, lucid arrangements, as interpreted by his newly formed Dub Band. The release galvanized black youth in Britain with tracks like the almost unbearably painful "Sonny's Lettah (Anti-Sus Poem)" and the antic punk attitude blaring from "Fite Dem back." LKJ wasn't playing here. "Independant Intavenshan," "Time Come," and the title track are direct summons to the underclass to marshall its collective power and get down to the serious business of transforming the world Babylon system. --Elena Oumano

I have a few more of his works so let me know if y'all want them...

"GREAT SOUNDS CALLED THE CB200!!!"

Dillinger's classic 1976 Album.

Seems like a short tracklist but "Race Day" is a nice 17 minutes long.

This is classic Roots with classic DJ/Toasting and one of my favorite records. Enjoy.

Dillinger's classic 1976 Album.

Seems like a short tracklist but "Race Day" is a nice 17 minutes long.

This is classic Roots with classic DJ/Toasting and one of my favorite records. Enjoy.
