Feist Is The Shit

Post by blastmaster »

Leslie Feist is a Canadian wierdo. She is down with Peaches and Gonzales. If you like Bjorkish whores, you should like Feist. You might recognize her from Broken Social Scene or Kings of Convinience.

Her videos are extremely cool.

I will upload her albums if people give a shit. Here are some videos.

Video for her new single. 1234.

I've been saying on here for awhile that Feist is the shit
Can-U will probably invade this thread full force with his adoration for the woman I introduced him to.

her new album will rule my heart.
I'm moving to canada to stalk her full-time

I still haven't decided if I find the Boys Noize remix of My Moon, My Man corny. I'm leaning towards 'no' right now:

good call dizzy

yeah, probably not feeling that my moon my man remix that much, at least not nearly as much as the original. I can't get enough of the womans voice. I DESPISE people who over sing, she sings exactly how i think a singer should sing. my ideal voice, for real.

I want to get ahold of her acapellas for real and do my own remixes, get hippo or tayo to drop a beat and then i'll rhyme to it like the k-os remix. I told my girl the other day in the midst of playing 1234 that if feist wanted to get with me i'd have to say yes. my girl didn't like that too much but i dont really give a fuck. also, since it hasnt been said, thats buck 65 in the one evening video.

PEACE

Funny, I told my girl the same thing about Bjork. Except she understood and said she'd turn it into a three-way.

And gangsta conscience said that shit before you, so be mindful of your peers.

And 9 times out of 10, "One Evening" is the favorite cut of choice. I am one of those shallow 9. Close second is her cover of "Satisfaction".

I fall in love with women like this all the time.

before I really knew who she was I saw her at a festival in toronto
she played mostly acoustic, but she was fucking adorable up there and her voice was sooooo good
I'd definitely reccomend catching her live. I started the afternoon partially paying attention and by the end of her set I was a feist fan.

My roommate showed me this song the other day. I've been in love with it since. Not loving the rest of the album as much, though. I dunno... I'll probably still cop it and give it a shot.

so who got the reminder? thoughts?

I love it, funny though because i agree with the reviews that some of the sparse minimalistic tracks dont work as well as the others. overall though a great cd.

the reminder is great. it was floating around my hard drive for a couple weeks, but for some reason i never gave it a good listen until today.

I <3 Feist. I will do a collab with her one day. Mark my words.

Also, if anyone has any acapellas, please upload them. That way I can at least pretend we did a track together if my plan doesn't pan out.

Seeing as how Rick Rubin is "stickiless" right now.. Why not a Rock-a-pella sticky for stuff like this ? a thread for Accapellas of rock tracks.

I mentioned to gloss to try and get a remix contest for a Feist song, my moon my man could be flipped really ill by our producers here.

Man this album is a fuckin jem. I'm still listening to it a few times a week.

The production quality is phenomenal. Listen to it on a good pair of headphones or studio speakers and you'll understand.

At around the 2:49 mark of the One Evening video, Buck 65 does the Doug E. Fresh.

I heard her song on that cell phone commercial and thought it was dope, and then I stumbled upon this thread. Good to know who she is, I like her music.
