george duke has probably played on some of ur favorite shit from the 70s...dude is ill on the keys.

stereolab are a french/english band that doesnt sample much if at all...they have that plush, retro-keyboard sound to them...u need to holler at Emperor Tomato Ketchup and Dots and Loops (which i'll prolly upload soon).

1. Jeff Beck - drum break on wired is good. don't like the rest of what i know, but my dad is a fan.

3. Galt Macdermot - god status. coffee cold = an all-time favorite of mine. a nice guy who actually has written numerous letters to a friend of mine.

5. Aaron Neville - i prefer art neville.

7. George Duke - great, as far as 70s pop-funk-jazz goes.

8. Deodato - released and produced some excellent albums, some crap fests. astrud gilberto now is great. camp lo is indebted.

9. Jill Scott - my roommate and ex are both into her. way too neosoul for me. have scene pictures of her naked and almost puked.

10. Michael Franks - i actually sampled him. never would again.
