I know Disco D primarily made Ghettotech. My ex was into a lot of electronic shit and she told me a lot of Diplo's music could be classified as that. Not sure if it's true. I have no idea what it really it sounds like.

ghettotech is a term pioneered by disco d, but it can also be pinned to booty bass music from people like dj assault ("ass and titties") and dj funk. i think people could also classify drop the lime as a ghettotech artist. it's all in the same family that houses detroit house, baltimore club house and techno. it's cool shit.

nah, it's around 150bpm.

basically the detroit version of bmore club and miami bass.

the most famous ghettotech track is dj assault's "ass n titties" (it was played on a chappelle episode once - some gay dude is mowing the lawn).

other dudes to check out: dj funk, dj godfather, dj deeon, disco d.

it sounds fruity as fuck on first listen. all 808 and casio presets. but it's bomb to dance to. white girls go wild.

i spin this shit occasionally, i can post up a short mix if anybody is interested.
