Come on yall, Metallica's version of Last Caress/Green Hell was pretty dope. I also dig David Bowie's cover of "Let's Spend the Night Together" by the Stones. Nirvana also did a pretty faithful version of Bowie's "The Man Who Sold the World".

Last Carress/Green Hell is a great cover. As is their cover of Killing Joke's the The Wait. I was just trying to name songs that weren't obviously covers/included on cover albums.

For more great metal covers, check out Witchery's Witchburner EP which has their excellent versions of Accept's "Fast as a Shark," W.A.S.P.'s "I Wanna Be Somebody," Judas Priest's "Riding on the Wind," and Black Sabbath's "Neon Knights."

If I remember, I'll try and up some of them later.

Husker Du- 8 Miles High
When we act, we create our own reality. And while you're studying that reality -- judiciously, as you will -- we'll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that's how things will sort out. We're history's actors . . . and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do.

I remember hearing this for the first time from an indie rock fling who had no idea this was a Misfits cover. He does kinda make it sound like a love song, cept the part about hacking up little girls and puttin em on the wall.
