Also Manhoef should have stopped bullshitting hopping into guards and getting all dressed up. He should have went out their Wand Pride style and knocked dudes head off.
no beef but i find this highly contradicting.
why's that?

Because all Aoki does is jump around into the same routine very single fight, resembling your grip with Manhoef. You flippy-floppin.

But Aoki is one of the best grapplers in MMA and Manhoef is one of the worst grapplers in any major organization. You have to see the difference, especially if you'rea Manhoef fan.

 @ Zuffa being a few years too late for anyone to care about Hunt. I wonder if they signed people like Gomi and Hunt to attempt to dead the ancient Pride vs UFC fued. I find it hilarious that peope actually thought Gomi vs Florian decided what organization had better competition..

lol. Difference is Aoki jumps into guard and breaks bones. Manhoef jumps in guard and loses. It would be like Aoki trying to stand the whole fight, a big ol wtf. Manhoef is exciting when strictly trying to knock a guys head into the fifth row.

Aoki is probably my second favorite fighter. His fights are always really tense. I think his tendency to fold when hit really, really hard adds to the drama because there is always a very real chance that he could lose when he is fighting top tier competition, but as soon as he gets his hands on a limb that shit is over. I really wish he would put his nationalism aside and go spend a year training in the U.S. I'm sure there are a number of camps who would love to have him and could teach him an awful lot about boxing and or wrestling.

I would love to see him in a pure grappling match with BJ Penn. I think Penns flexibility and Aokis creativity would be a perfect match up (nh).

Nice, good to see them giv Shane Del Rosario a push into the main event. I can't wait to see him fight some of their top talent. Nice prospect though.

UFC subpoenas Justin.tv and Ustream.tv
July 23, 2010 04:55 PM

The world's largest pay-per-view content provider shows no signs of slowing its anti-piracy efforts.

Ultimate Fighting Championship officials today announced they have subpoenaed Justin.tv and Ustream.tv ג€“ two sites with user-provided live video content ג€“ due to their broadcasts of illegally uploaded content, including the UFC's pay-per-view events.

Zuffa LLC, the UFC's parent company, has served both sites subpoenas that demand they reveal the identities of users who uploaded UFC content.

Today's release specifically points to one user from a single IP address who uploaded this year's UFC 108 and UFC 110 events, which drew 36,000 and 78,000 non-paying viewers, respectively.

"I can't wait to go after the thieves that are stealing our content," UFC President Dana White stated. "This is a fight we will not lose."

Today's release cites a section of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act that allows copyright owners to obtain subpoenas from a federal court that orders a service provider to disclose the identity of subscribers who allegedly engage in infringing activities. Due to the UFC's hefty PPV price tags, the promotion's content is a frequent target of privacy.

The subpoenas are just the latest in the UFC's ongoing fight. As MMAjunkie.com (http://www.mmajunkie.com) reported earlier this month, UFC officials recently announced they had reached "confidential settlements" with more than 500 businesses and individuals as a result of illegal broadcasts and viewing of UFC events.

The UFC really ramped up its anti-piracy efforts just this year, and as White told MMAjunkie.com, he sees only one surefire way to get pirates' attention.

"When people start going to jail, people will stop doing it," White said.

UFC CEO Lorenzo Fertitta testified before the U.S. House Judiciary Committee earlier this year during a referendum on Internet piracy of sporting events. He said the UFC's anti-piracy team, for example, had uncovered 271 illegal streams of January's UFC 106 event with more than 140,000 viewers.

The UFC annually offers approximately a dozen PPV offerings and in 2009 earned an estimated $350 million in PPV revenue. The events cost $44.95 each ($55.95 for the HD version) both via cable/satellite providers and via official online outlets.

Currently, the promotion has just a handful of authorized online PPV affiliates ג€“ UFC.com, Yahoo! Sports and MMAFighting.com, for example ג€“ who charge the same $44.95 fee. Lawrence Epstein, the UFC's general legal counsel, said the Internet price is mandated by the promotion's contract with pay-per-view providers such as DirecTV and DISH Network and cannot be lowered.

All other outlets ג€“ including those who charge a discounted fee ג€“ are doing so illegally, Epstein said.

UFC on Versus 2 undercard predictions:

- Paul Kelly>Jacob Volkmann via split decision (close fight, could see it going either way, but Kelly is the more dynamic and versatile fighter)
- DaMarques Johnson>Riddle via 2nd round submission (Riddle gasses and is one dimensional. Close fight though)
- James Irvin>Pojrajac via 1st round KO (back to LHW where Irvin belongs and he will show up looking much better than he did in his last fight)
- Brian Stann>Mike Massenzio via 2nd round TKO (Massenzio would have been my pick, but he hasn't fought since 2008 and is going to be rusty)
- Darren Elkins>Charles Oliveira via unanimous decision (Oliviera gasses and I think Elkins could survive the storm. Coin flip type fight)
- Rob Kimmons>Steve Steinbeiss via 1st round submission (my money is on the guillotine)

who do you guys have in the Yushin Okami (No. 8 MW) vs. Mark Munoz and Takanori Gomi vs. Tyson Griffin fights?

I think the Munoz vs Okami is pretty even. Okami is more well rounded but i'm going with Munoz on gut feeling. And I WANT Gomi to win.

would like to see Gomi win but I see Griffin by UD

Munoz can end a fight at any moment, he does well in capitalizing off a mistake but I don't see Okami making one, he's too disciplined and I see him picking apart Munoz to a UD
