i don't understand why there is so much germany hate.. i almost got in a fight with a few irish guys in amsterdam a few weeks ago cause i was rockin a germany jersey.. biased aside.. they have played some of the more entertaining matches so far in the world cup.. and klose is a beast..

Hopefully germany loses next round so i can start the steal Kilnsmann from Germany movement. Think about it dude already lives in the states, would be under alot less of a microscope here then back in Germany, and would have an oppertunity to give us the coaching that we so desperatly need to become a power in soccer.

Why is it that european teams FLOP 80x's more than the other teams in the cup???

Its embarrassing. Its a bunch of Vlade Divac motherfuckers who cant stand contact (no homo).

Its really starting to piss me off.

Its not the flopping that i cant stand, its the screaming like you just suffered a compound fracture of your tibia but really your just trying to draw a card. Fuck that shit get off the ground and play on. I really think fifa should give the refs a time limit from the whistle, say something like 10-15 seconds to issue a card,so that there is no incentive to ham it up on the ground to try to draw the call.

it's not that you fall to the ground, i understand the thought behind that...it's LAYING THERE, acting like a bone is broken...

the best is when they're carted off on the stretcher, and 2 minutes later, they're back on the pitch..

I think the way to curtail it is to say if you can't get up in 20 seconds (and/or have to be wheeled off) that player has to wait 5-7 minutes before he can come back on the field so your team will be down a man. It wouldn't prevent flopping, but it would ensure the players got up quickly and allowed play to continue in a timely manner.

Has anyone seen a card for flopping so far? I thought if it was an obvious flop the refs were suposed to dole out yellows. They've been quick to book people for everything else...

I would like to see a near zero tolerance policy to this crying wolf bullshit where players act like they are in agony, and then once the penalty has been awarded, they get up and continue the game at 100% form.

It should go like this....

Umm...that's not remotely true. The only team there that dives and fakes injury more than the average is Italy. Sweden, England, Germany and France are particularly infrequent in that regard.

I think a new soccer rule should be that any player faking injuries, wasting time, taking dives, etc. will be forced to play the rest of the match wearing THE HAT OF SHAME

The ref can award the shame-hat to any player during a game by giving him the orange card, and the player must immediately run to the sideline where the hat will be put on. If a player receives a second orange card he has to wear 2 shame-hats on top of each other, third card he has to wear 3 hats, etc. until he passes out or his head explodes from the pressure.

Germany has been looking strong but if Sweden play like they did in the 2nd half against England they will win that shit. Keep in mind tho that Germany hasn't been playing any top teams. 1,5h until it starts and I'm fucking excited. credit to germany for the first half. it hurts to say this but, they played well. i must say that sweden played really, really poor. they should sack their coach first, what a pussy. 2-0 down, playing with 10 men in a knock-out round and bringing on a striker for a striker (zlatan out (dissapointing game), allback on). wtf? take a defender off or something. it doesnt matter if you lose 2-0 of 10-0... you should try to score at least twice. same with the penalty... larsson was ready to take the penalty and the cunt decided to sub.

and what was the ref thinking when he gave that red card? lucic (or whoever) should have smacked that grin of his face.

The ref totally sucked, not only b/c he had that shit-eating grin when delivering the red card (WTF??) but many calls were debatable.
