Everyone shut the fuck up. They won. And they're going to win again. And they're going to win the series. So stop acting so surprised and wake the fuck up.

The Rockets putting the smack down on the Trail Blazers. You could chalk it up to the Rockets playing great and the Blazers not having a lot of playoff experience, but they have some glaring issues in turning this thing around:
- Aaron Brooks took every member of the Blazers team off the dribble. Outplayed the entire Blazers backcourt. Yes, even Brandon Roy.
- I don't see anyone being a reliable second option for the Blazers.
- If the Rockets keep playing the type of defense they played in this game, they will win the series.

I think the best part of the Rockets advancing will be that they left T-Wack behind.

Definately the worst match up the Blazers could have gotten. A good learning experience of what playoff basketball is like and what they'll need to do for the future.Money Gripp wrote:The Rockets putting the smack down on the Trail Blazers. They need to find a better way to slow down Yao, and I'd rather see Bayless on Brooks but that won't happen this season.

I am man enough to admit I was wrong about Noah, but what you saw today was the best and worst out of him. Played great all game, grabbed mad boards and added an interior defensive presence, then when it mattered most got over aggressive and fouled Paul Pierce in the closing seconds.Gregg Popabitch wrote:Noah sucks guys!!! right? basketball geniuses, some of you guys are.
I said before he has a low basketball iq and I stand by that.
He was helped by the fact that no one on the Celtic's front line has any length, but a great performance by him none the less.

I think everyone knows Magic is horrible at everything he does except for basketball and maybe business ventures, but he's Magic, so he gets to be on national television.Positive A wrote:When are people going to start realize that Magic is horrible in studio? I gotta say, though, in defense of Brandon Roy, he scored 21 points despite being guarded by Artest and/or Battier, getting no help from his teammates, and having to finish over Yao or Mutombo at the rim.Money Gripp wrote:That's hilarious.Tweak Da Leak wrote:<param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/wMCjbzBHD-8&hl ... ram>

He killed himself for those 21 points which doesn't bode well for the Blazers.

Magic (5 seconds ago): Who is going to be the 3rd scorer for the Celtics behind Paul Pierce and Ray Allen?Positive A wrote:When are people going to start realize that Magic is horrible in studio? This ABC studio is atricious. Poor Wilbon is sitting there with a bunch of Top Shelf Douchebaggery.
Uhhhhh...probably Rondo, analyst NBA Hall of Famer dude. And he'll probably be the #2 guy if Ray Allen keeps throwin up 1 for 12's.

The good news for the Jazz: Deron Williams is carving up the Lakers D. Making great decisions.
The bad news for the Jazz: They have no chance of stopping the Lakers at the defensive end.

lol...in all seriousness, that is pretty much EXACTLY what I said after Magic dropped that question.Money Gripp wrote:Magic (5 seconds ago): Who is going to be the 3rd scorer for the Celtics behind Paul Pierce and Ray Allen?Positive A wrote:When are people going to start realize that Magic is horrible in studio? well the jazz ARE the worst road team in the playoffs except for the bulls.eternalreflection wrote:oh look another 1v8 matchup that isn't competitive at all
game 3 or 4 might be ok, but the Lakers will win all the home games by 20+
before the bulls fans get ultra defensive, over the course of the regular season.

except you make it seem like its an even split good and bad, but its more like 6/1 in favor of the 1v8 being a waste of time, you guys will enjoy 6 of the Lakers/Utah series for that one Dallas/GSW, I'd rather skip the 6Money Gripp wrote:eternalreflection wrote:oh look another 1v8 matchup that isn't competitive at all![]()
Didn't we talk about this already? Some years there is a big separation between 1 and 8 like this year. In other years, there isn't as much (see: 2006-2007).
oh well the other 3games could be good

Okay, fine. I give up. You tell me who should play in the playoffs this year. Give me the number of teams and the match-ups. The floor is yours.eternalreflection wrote:except you make it seem like its an even split good and bad, but its more like 6/1 in favor of the 1v8 being a waste of time, you guys will enjoy 6 of the Lakers/Utah series for that one Dallas/GSW, I'd rather skip the 6Money Gripp wrote:eternalreflection wrote:oh look another 1v8 matchup that isn't competitive at all![]()
