which four? a lot of those players are adequate. but, cobi jones hasn't had a good year in nearly a decade now. he's 37 years old. even in his prime, he never had the ability to compete at the top level anywhere in europe (as much as i liked dude when i was younger)

p.s. rosina is gonna be a star for italy.

howard (c'mon...), figo (not anymore), berbatov (not convinced), adriano (needs to step up), while i don't know much about rosina. i'll give you milito and vidic, solid players. cicinho, sure, kaka would've been a starter on my list, tevez, i would put messi ahead of him any day. i think he was joking about cobi jones.

Cobi's on my list because he's my favorite US player ever (thought I'd give him some shine), Figo, Berbatov & Adriano play for my favorite teams, so there was a little bias in the selections.....but they're still top notch performers.

no offense avalanche, but the only people who are inter milan fans are people who got into the sport (atleast in italy) in 2005 at the earliest. not that there's anythin wrong with that.

I picked them up after 02, when I got more internet savy and could start watching/listing to games, outside the US, on the net. what makes you say this about inter fans (no bias either way)?

I know a lot of Inter fans and they been with them for a long time. You either really hate Inter or you love it.The biggest faggets are people who got into Barcelona after Ronaldihno came.Nobody was pumpin Barca 7 years ago when they had the most beautiful offensive soccer I have ever seen.

my bad, it was a kinda bias statement. they are a talented side, i can't front. but, my opinion is they've been completely irrelevent in serie a from 1990-2006. they got real lucky with the juventus' scandal (stealin ibrahimović & vieira). they didn't deserve the scudetto last year, this year was the first year they actually earned it (barely). i've been an ac milan fan since 1991, so y'know, that probably explains it.

Weren't they a solid team during the mid 90s? They at least had Ronaldo for a while.

Inter Milan never had a bad team. But they are similar to Arsenal and maybe Valencia, they will never win anything special, its their destiny, seriously.

if by solid you mean a team that was no better than a uefa cup tournament team, that never once competed for the scudetto the entire decade, then yes.

For real, they always seems to buy good to great players, who then stink while there, and then move and play great again. (though hopefully last year wasn't a fluke, and sticking with a coach for more than two years, ala Mancini, they'll continue to win)

Although i've played futbol all my life, i never really kept up with club soccer....but i always kept up with the World Cup. Over the past few years i've started to look at/watch different leagues around the world, primarily La Liga, the Mexican(because i'm a beaner), and the England league. Champions league is a great fucking tourney!! I realize now and i feel so stupid admitting this but club soccer is better than World Cup Soccer in my opinion...with the exception of the US league, which is complete garbage...but don't get me started on that.

Anyway, the reason i responded to this is because i am a Barca fan as of the last few years but not because of Ronaldinho...i think he is overrated. I may catch some heat for this but i think that Rafa Marquez is probably one of the best defenders in the world right now. He is the reason i'm a barca fan...after i watched him play some caps for the MExican national team and seeing his performance in the WC 2002.

As I said I was a Barca fan not long ago. Frank and Ronald de Boer, Cocu, Davids, Kluivert, Zenden, Rivaldo, etc, it was probably one of the best teams in the history of CL.I swear the manager was playin somethin like 2-5-3 it was fucking crazy.Although my favorite team is Juventus which means a totally different game strategy I just cant front on that team, I cant. They were called the Dutch Barca because it had like 7 or 8 dutch players in the frst line-up and that really helped them, the players knew each other and their game, it was a big plus.It was fucking beautiful.

um...hmmm..barca has always been one of my fav clubs..but i dont think that that team is any better or even as good as the current team, firstly..secondly, i think ajax from the mid-late 90s, which contained most of ur dutch boys, was better than that barca team...u had reiziger, bogarde, the de boer twins, litmanen, babangida/finidi george, kluivert, davids, seedorf...the team was just beastly...

also barca was no slouch around 94/95, when they had stoichkov, romario, guardiola, etc.

my favorite underrated attacking team is the psv from around 97-99. that team played such beatiful stuff..luc nillis, gilles de bilde, cocu, zenden, numan, wim jonk, etc....shit was dope. they ran over everyone in the dutch league.

Barca was dope in the Ronaldo Kluivert days.

Giovanni
Stoichkov
Rivaldo
Overmars
Figo

So much talent. Their fans have always been spoiled with the best the sport has to offer.

Yaya Toure should be another legend in the making.
