Earl has made more than 3 good songs.

Jay Electronica hasn't, and even his best song is just him rapping about Twitter and rhyming Ramadan with Yosemite Sam over what's the first good Just Blaze beat since 2005.

Plus, this shit is absolutely unforgivable :

Assuming you think Exhibit A and Exhibit C are good songs, I don't know why anyone would have a problem with the rap rap rapping on these. I'd give more examples, but I can't find them on youtube. The third verse on "Dealing" >.

"So What You Saying" is "boring." Yeah.

Please name 3 of these Earl songs that are absolute, unequivocal "bangers" compared to "So What You Saying."

People are just trying to be extra hip or contrary just for the fuck of it (ie, they're pulling an ice).

like i said in round one, i'm riding with earl until he meets up with Jay.

even though i listen to earl more lately, jay elec wins this match up.

they are both phenomenal new mc's and my 2 favorites in the tourney.

Pick practically any 3 songs off EARL, White Ice. It's an unarguable fact that the Earl kid has a better catalogue of songs than Jay at this point. End of story, son.

So What You Saying sounds like a one-off Rawkus 12" from 2001 or some Dilla affiliated Stones Throw album track from 2003. Utter garbage.

Given the way rappers record nowadays, EVERY rapper has 3 good songs (even, like, right down to Red Cafe and Nicki Minaj) so why Jay Elec has been elected worthy of all this ridiculous hyperbole is beyond me.

The voting is basically people underwhelmed by the match-up since Jay should be blowing Earl out.

voted earl for two reasons.

1. i dont really consider jay electronica to be new, he is dope as fuck but has been around for a few years now.

2. ice is on the jay electronica tip which must mean that it is really over for him.
