No diss but can somebody explain this to me?

Wasn't Simon Rex a host of some kind on MTV back in the '90s and a model?

Simon Rex fell the fuck off, mayne. From at least a shot in Hollywood to eating at a buffet with Nutsack Lethal and some random no-namer.

This video is not funny at all. But it should be mentioned, time and again since so many rappers post here, Mac Lethal's business acumen shits all over yours. Turning most of what he makes (which is garbage) and taking it to the bank year-over-year is a huge feat for any unimpressive douche.

 Simon Rex A.K.A. Dirt Nasty

You guys have no idea how popular his "raps" are with the kids and hipsters. :err:

dirt nasty has had some moderate success as a rapper, with his most notable single being that song My Dick that was featured on entourage. that track featured andre legacy, who was also in the mac lethal vid.

Oh yeah, we were FUUUUCKED up right here. Like, judging this for any sort of artistic execution is silly. This was 11:45 pm on my birthday, and we had been drinking since noon.

Simon Rex is Dirt Nasty. He's friends with a lot of folks (Evidence, Alchemist, Conceited, Luckyiam) etc.

Kinda feel bad for that Simon Rex. This is what his life has resorted to? No offense Mac, but I'm really going on by what he's doing in the other videos. Wigging it up. Black Girl Rulez please accept my rap identification card shit.

This muthafucka had to be paid years ago and was banging dimes galore. At least Joaquin Phoenix had acting to fall back on, but even he killed that scthick after it failed a few years ago. Damn money.

I mean, you realize he's joking, right? He's obviously a dude who loves rapping but also is kind of a clown so he makes silly hip hop shit. It's clearly an act. Just watch the first first part of the "1980" video. It's some straight PFAC shit.
I think he's done some funny shit and his parts in that grindtime battle were fucking funny. No one's taking him seriously as an mc though.

If you take dude that seriously, honestly, you may want to re-evaluate your life.

I realize it's a joke, clearly. But he couldn't have parlayed his career into something different? It's just crazy to see people like him or even Tom Green who was the king of MTV for a few years resort to such LLL.

True. I mean, Tom green was on a different level but I am surprised Rex never did more acting. I get the feeling he's just kind of a low life (in a good way) who doesn't really give a fuck. He makes enough money and , from what I've heard, fuck everything that moves in L.A. Like Tui said, dude is chilling.

No offense taken. Especially because your post is unmerited, and inaccurate.

He still does movies. We discussed doing a tour, and he had to cancel because he accepted a movie role coming up. He gets good paper off that Scary Movie/Date Movie/Disaster Movie series. He also does other stuff.

Hollywood is one of the most cutthroat, difficult industries to make it in. A lot of people don't even succeed in half of the ways Simon has. You are sitting at your desk creating these assumptions that he is some wigger who's acting career bottomed out, so he started listening to hip-hop (mainly Eminem and Bubba Sparx), learned a few cool hip-hop buzzwords and decided to take a stab at the rap thing. Which honestly, couldn't be more incorrect.

He knows his shit. And his Dirt Nasty project has an actual fan base, of people who legitimately enjoy the music. He gets all sorts of pussy (Paris Hilton, Jamie Presley), and in fact just playing the show and rolling around Kansas City with him has opened up an entirely new realm of KC girls for me.

Gloss you gotta stop judging people by their level of iconic success. The industry is not as black and white as you sometimes seem to think it is. There is a huge, lucrative grey area in between being a huge star and a huge failure.

Shit is different now. Its been different. People like Matthew Lillard and Jay Mohr make a very good living, doing supporting roles in moderately budgeted films and tv shows. There are tons of people in Hollywood who are not A-listers, that still make a really good living doing various projects, and working hard.

Brian Dennehy man.

Tom Green is also, needless to say, still on his grind.

I mean, the dude was absolutely absurd with is show and humor. He can't exactly flip that over into a career of Kevin Costner proportions. He's still getting it in any way he can, though.

Jay Mohr is COMPLETELY different than Simon Rex and you know that. Jay Mohr has been in movies (Jerry Maguire), hosted Last Comic Standing on NBC, has been in repeated failed cable sitcoms, does a wicked Christopher Walken impersonation. If you ask me his only fail in life is marrying Nikki Cox waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay past her prime.

Jay Mohr is c-level where as Simon Rex is an obscure MTV pop culture question in Trivial Pursuit. I know of him because I'm a fucking dinosaur who used to watch MTV in the 90's but I don't expect many people to even know who he is. Still, it seems like an odd career path he is on.

Thread kinda reminds me of how Mindbender scoffed at 50 Cent for only earning a mere $8 million last year.

so wait, what would have been a better career path for this guy? c'mon man, you find it odd that the answer to a trivial pursuit answer went this direction? seems fair to me. props to not being on the surreal life.
