You posted 2 minutes after I created this thread. You couldn't even have listened to 2 tracks on the album.

Automatic hater. If The Roots were from Newark you'd sport a Malik B tattoo.

i was hoping tariq was gonna come outta nowhere and spit some rawness over that first track but i shoulda known it was only an intro.

either way, i'm hyped for this. it should have already leaked by now too, what's up with that?

I've been looking for days. It drops Tuesday and usually Def Jam slips a week before the ship date I thought.

Sounds decent so far, a bit too much singing for my taste, but still sounds like it'll be worth a cop. Really diggin the beat for "Doin It again", that drowned out, filtered sounding singing sample(?) is pretty great.

Actually liking this more than I expected. Wish they'd trim down those guest spots though and just let Black Thought rip it.

Oh, I what I'm saying is Rising Down was definitely good, but I like this album a lot more.

I guess it really isn't a huge step from the last album...

Didn't mean to sound like I was hating or anything. For some reason I wasn't expecting much from this album because of them being busy with The Jimmy Fallon show, but they really came through with it.

Makes the Drake album sound like The Champ Iz Here, but not as boring as I imagined.

I like it, I think "Right On" could easily be a hit...it's a good album, not thier best though.

Definitely a "chill" album. Not their best, not their worst just something to stay consistent.

sounds real good to me.....especially when considering this is 2010 and most people consider the roots to have peaked in the mid to late 90's. no it may not be their best album, but I don't think that's a realistic expectation. Their longevity impresses me, this sounds pretty fresh.

It sounds like some 2010 shit. It is fresh. Seems kind of dark too so the tempo fits.

personally, I like this album. I found the full version online, and it's good.

more classic music from an excellent hiphop group.

I am happy until the new post-september albums come out.

summer 2010 is some great goodness.......

pure perfect patterns on the Roots album (lyrical wise)

Pretty good album off of first listen. Last two tracks hurt the album, but overall it was good. When I heard the title track, How I Got Over, earlier this year I expected a completely different sound of this album, so that track sort of stands out in a bad way, but I think it's a very good song though. Overall, it's about on the level of their last album. Their last album was inconsistant, but when it worked it was great. This album is more consistant with not too many amazing moments, if any, and not too many bad moments.

Funny how this is now the second time Peedi Crakk shouts out Ultramagnetic on a Roots track. He's only been on 3 tracks total.
