I've only heard the Jada and Mobb ones so far. Not outstanding but maybe worth a few listens. Just posted up the links while I was d/ling them.
I've hardly heard anything I really like so far this year.

Redman has had the worst drop off of any rapper that had top 10 potential. At least Nas has some hits once in awhile, Redman hasn't made one track by himself worth listening in forever.

Redman isn't in your top 10? I'd love to see yours then.
And most rappers in the top ten are living off shit they did 15-20 years ago, anyway.

Jadakiss should call it quits, why? He's still dope.
CNN? Raekwon? Really? Raekwon had the album of the year in 2009. CNN always make great music.
Who the fuck do you niggas ever like? Blu? Jay Elec? That's it?

Most of the people you listed are still making the same kinds of songs they were making 15 years ago, albeit watered down updates of them without most of the energy, vitality, and originality of their previous work. There's really no reason to listen to much of their new songs because it's going to be the same as, and never better than, their old shit.
If you're going to listen to NYC street-oriented hip-hop, why not just check out more hungrier and vital MCs like Joell Ortiz and Vado?

you listen to Black Eyed Peas and Rhianna, shut the fuck up.

ACTEHLIMEY: I don't "listen to" Rhianna, but "Rude Boy" still bangs in the whip. I can't stand BEP.
I was absolutely shocked to see that you posted a thread filled with subpar songs by artists who no one gives a shit about anymore though. Thanks for mixing it up.

Joell Ortiz is not vital by any stretch of the imagination. His work ethic is vital, he isn't. Clever lines and he can rap a lot. Big deal.
Vado? Gtfo. Dude is such garbage pile material he'll be a twinkle in someone's eye in like three months.

I'm saying they're more vital and hungrier than Jadakiss, Nore, etc. right now. I really don't think there's any need to debate that.

He's not a "hot spitta" like Sole or setting the hif-hoff world on fire like that random turquoise-clad dude from San Jose you heralded as "dat next shit" in one of your blogs but he's generating a lot of buzz. His voice, lyrics, flow, and delivery are all great.

You didn't hear "The Symphony" until you were twenty-seven. The Clipse, Lupe Fiasco, Zack De La Rocha etc - Come on, man. He's a shitty rapper for pastes to jizz tough over.

I could take this (nh) coming from someone who doesn't conceal himself with fuzzy pink socks; you
offer media criticism of Sage Francis' web site for Christ's sake.

Vado is nice, and majority of his fans is not pastes.. sorry. Also, there is no reason to be listening to Joell Ortiz over Jada or Nore. They are both still putting out hot songs and Joell Ortiz get pretty boring after 2 songs..

No, you're pretending you can take it because you want to save face over being an uninformed faggot who can't make decisions until tastemakers christen some new superstar for the Miller's Outpost crowd to splooge over. You're a faggot, Ithe. All that's missing is the dick tuck. Fuck that, you are a tucked dick.

The tracks out of these that i've heard are boring, but that recent Planet Thug track by CNN was what QB thug rap should sound like in 2010.
LOL @ White Ice riding for Vado, a 3rd rate Juelz clone with a "more hungry and vital" catalog of sub-Red Cafe mixtape tracks, Biggie remakes and songs which sound like the more forgettable C.O.C tracks from 1995.
Vado, the rapper with the distinguished claim to fame of being a slightly less generic post-Dipset weed carrier than that annoying Penz faggot who popped up in the middle of Glitter to ruin it.

I don't get the comparison either. Dude is more straight forward in his rhymes and doesn't rely on being "cute" (nh), is a better lyricist in general, and has a much more aggressive no-nonsense flow.
There's several songs I've heard featuring Vado and Cam that are better than that Planet Thug track. Vado's and Cam's verses on "Ric Flair" >>> the rhinestone thug's and Nore's verses on Planet Thug.

Vado is way more lyrical than Juelz
With that said, he bores me

Joell Ortiz is garbage. After listening to one mix tape his voice already annoys me.
