Amazing live performer. Engaging and a nice mix of enraged/humorous.

I'll agree with this, although I think musically he was at his best when he had E-Rocc to balance him out.

Boots Riley with E-Rocc>>>>>Without
With that being said, their first 3 albums are all very good, but after that they haven't been nearly as good.

im not sure i agree with this. "We are the ones" is up there with his best work. One of the rare times where a corny accent works extremely well

The live show with his band took me by surprise. I imagined him to be real laid back but he was more energetic on stage than I thought.
The only thing about The Coup is that I wish I heard more from Erocc while he was in the group like he was. He definitely added a different element to the group.

Boot is one of my favorite MCs, but there is NEVER an excuse for rapping in an accent. Fuck that song. (which otherwise would be dope)

And of course Boots Riley.

Boots is underrated as hell. He gets hated on because his fans can be kinda obnoxious and overtly political music is just easy to hate on. Should have gone farther in the underrated tournament.

He's great. And Pam's beats are ridiculous more often than not. But he's the opposite of organic, his verses are really worked over and meticulous. Not a bad thing necessarily, but I like that straight-from-the-dome raw-talent-on-wax sound, and since he's opposed to freestyling (read:can't) his shit is always too precise.
That said:
Pimps
Me and Jesus The Pimp
Funk
Dig It
Nowalaters
My Favorite Mutiny
Fat Cats Bigga Fish
Last Blunt
Repo Man
Piss on Your Grave
The Mutha'fuckin Coup!

I would say Boots' precision is one of his good points. I bought every album except Pick a Bigger Weapon, which, to me, was the best album of '05/'06. My roommate bought it, so I jammed his.
I didn't care for the production on Party Music. But Pick a Bigger Weapon had a sound that reminded me of Prince/The Time, yet reminiscent of the funk from The Coup's earlier work.

God almighty, its so terrible. I dont care if he really was using live instruments all along like he said that time, fuck that fusion fuckery in its Pompaloose asshole.
Worst part is he seemed to find a nice balance with that shit on Pick A Bigger Weapon that counteracted his overly rigid flow hes had since E-roc's departure but this is a bridge too far. I thought hed got all this fuckery out his system with that abortion with dude from the student union nu-metal band. Still at it.
Fuck this cunt and the pale white horse he rode in on.
