Never mind. Got it off battlecat's mix.
ok so i did my due diligence before forming my all-important opinion
he's got lil wayne sensibilities without drama or the pretense of fame and ego, he's an alien who reminds me of some mix b/w kool keith, lil wayne, juvenile, soulja boy, and gucci mane
because of my eastcoastnewyorkbias, i really really dig some of his tracks that are more "traditional", but i have a hard time not chuckling when listening to parishilton-ellendegerous-wontonsoup tracks, so basically i've come to the decision i am pro-lil b
i am feelin this track today:
<object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/MB5gKerbnLE?fs ... ram><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/MB5gKerbnLE?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>

popabitch is a fag who refuses to listen to gucci mane even though state v. radric davis only ages even better with time and is easily a top album of the year it came out
so i wasn't surprised when he told me he doesn't like lil b
but with vids like the one above and the pro-backpacker song:
<object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/corY-FZAZog?fs ... ram><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/corY-FZAZog?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>
i don't get how anyone can just rule him out. lil b is nice, or funky, and says some wild/funny shit, win win win.

based
bass d

i think we're on to something
jokes aside, i don't hear the similarity myself, but since b continuously experiments with different styles its entirely possible that at some point he did hit on something that's similar to count and i just missed it

I think perhaps RZN isn't talking about vocal/style resemblance so much as a final product that suggests a similar creative technique???drizzle wrote:based

u r both right. drizzle in that lil b fucks with tons of styles. thun in that i was referring to the stream of consciousness/i will sacrifice structure and end rhymes if i wanna say some shit i wanna say style i feel count bass d utilizes a lot.
again, listen to this track and tell me he doesn't effect a drugged out and thugged out version of count bass d's style (and i wasnt thinkin about it but word to thun about both of em recording freestyle-laden verses):

angel exodus might become my answer to the twice-a-page question of 'whats the best based album/mixtape' to start with
not quite his best, but since it's relatively short and generally sticks to more traditional rap stylings it might be a good way for the unitiated to gently ease into the basedlife
