many times the most simplistic sentiments are the most powerful. Writing should be about conveying raw human emotion, the words should have life off of the page. This piece achieves that....it almost would ruin the "feeling" if this was too buried in metaphor, and cliche. The upfront earnestness of the words, and in how they are placed...give the prose energy, and its frankness ensure the writer is felt by the reader. Good stuff.

Hey guys,

Just wanted to make sure ya'll know that you don't have to PM me your verse, just go straight to it. Also, ideally, I'd like for both verses for each person to be posted by the deadline, I hope that was clear. So, even though you have until Thursday at 5 to complete the battle, make sure you allow time for the exchange between you and your opponent. Just wanted to give everybody a heads up.
