and why does Lil Wayne murk this shit? because he knows HE dropped the ball by putting a garbage ass verse on Drake's 'Miss Me', which is about to be the next Drizzy single/video (already shot before Wayne went to jail), plus Wayne just released a song with Eminem where he is on his A-game, which is a bad look for Drake.

also, Wayne killing this shit better than both Drake and Jay-Z sure is a good look for him. He references Nelson Mandel (uh) :hooray: , Elvis AND Tupac in this verse. Dude wants people talking about him during Drakemania. And they will. This shit is pretty good.

when the MP3 comes out, it's curtains
every artist mentioned in this post is awful. you dick ride A list rappers way too much.
your opinion intriugues me to no end, and now i care about what you think more than i care about my own thoughts.

wait, first: keenone, can you whip up a spiffy "heavy fucking sarcasm" emoticon?

i love it when people talk about me instead of contribute their own ideas to the conversation. i really love it.

you know me enough to know I would never intentionally spread Officer Ricky's "music"

Royce the 5'9", I been a fan for years and years, anyone here should know that. Fools need to jam to "I'm The King" more :ironmike:

I'm serious about someone needs to start a 'Bad Meets Evil 2010 album' online campaign. that's the only hope I have left for Eminem to make amazing rap music.

and now I go to listen to 'Recovery' to see how good/bad it is.

by Jon Caramanica:
In 2006 Drake, then an acolyte of hip-hopג€™s thoughtful bohemian wing, released his first mixtape, ג€œRoom for Improvement.ג€ He also was testing out the rapper lifestyle, spending money ג€” some from ג€œDegrassi,ג€ some borrowed from family and friends ג€” out of step with his actual earning.

He leased a Rolls-Royce Phantom, parking it on the street outside the familyג€™s apartment, much to his motherג€™s chagrin. ג€œWho drives a Phantom and doesnג€™t have a place to park it?ג€ Ms. Graham remembers asking her son. ג€œAnd whatג€™s even more embarrassing is we owe so much money and we have so many debts and bills.ג€

Summers were spent with his fatherג€™s side of the family, in Memphis, where one of his cousins was dating the manager of the rapper Yo Gotti. There Drake gained an affection for the energy of Southern rap, which contrasted with the headier material he had started out making himself.

The New Orleans rap star Lil Wayne heard Drakeג€™s music in the summer of 2008 and invited him out on the road. ג€œI sat in the same place on the bus for a week,ג€ Drake recalled. ג€œI was scared.ג€ Wayne only found out about Drakeג€™s acting past when he landed on ג€œDegrassiג€ while flipping channels on the busג€™s television.

In short order Drake became a key part of Wayneג€™s touring madhouse, and whenever there was downtime, in a studio or hotel room, he worked on songs. The outcome was ג€œSo Far Gone,ג€ his third mixtape and one of last yearג€™s best-received hip-hop recordings. Itג€™s one of the most ambivalent, melancholy documents of rap success ever released, which is odd, because it was recorded long before Drakeג€™s turn in the limelight.

On ג€œSo Far Goneג€ he sought to cultivate multiple audiences at once: in addition to straight-ahead rap songs, he also rapped over instrumentals from indie acts like Santigold, Lykke Li and Peter Bjorn & John. ג€œThat was supposed to be the wild and crazy project we did to get that out of our system before we put out a really generic rap album,ג€ said Oliver el-Khatib, Drakeג€™s longtime friend and de facto creative consultant.

Most notably, he sang ג€” some songs in their entirety. In part that was a response to heartbreak: heג€™d been trying to shake loose of a destructive relationship with a manipulative woman who had taunted him with the fact that she had previously been involved with a famous rap star. The wounded R&B songs are about her. ג€œI donג€™t even know if I wrote a rap song in that whole nine months,ג€ Drake said, ג€œbecause I wasnג€™t a rapper anymore. I didnג€™t believe in myself. I was someone elseג€™s property.ג€ (He was so uncertain about the sung tracks on ג€œSo Far Goneג€ that he tried to get them placed on an album by his friend the R&B singer Trey Songz ג€” fortunately, with no luck.)

everything is regularly captured on camera nowadays because gossiping faggots like you actually care about all this behind the scenes shit that uis actually dull as fuck.

As you're going to continuously update us on every minute detail of Drake and his album maybe you should just register www.ilovedrakesballs.blogspt.com and go all out?

if you spent as much time on your own career as you do watching his who knows what might happen. the fact you fucking suck at rapping hasnt hindered Drake's progress so it shouldnt hinder yours.

the difference is, I'm a journalist/musician and it's good to know what the competition is doing, as well as what the fans are thinking. i build connections to both Drake-level artists and the average rap fan, so I know what the fuck time it is in the rap game.

Drake is making world history, I am learning from it, and I am positioning myself to triumph VERY SOON from it. he's opening doors for Toronto and Canadian rap music, if you weren't aware. I AM CANADIAN RAP MUSIC. Just the sound that most of the world hasn't discovered yet. But know that my new album is in mastering, maggot. And for all the rap fans who wanted something fresh dope dope but not insane crazy like Eminem, my music will be available soon.

when you hear my new album, you will never say I suck at rapping again. none of you will. that's my motherfucking word on my life. and if you do, you will say so only because you are a brain-damaged child incapable of evolving your opinion in life due to some non-existent beef you carry about me. your loss. my new music is about to surprise many.

really though, you waver too much between vaguely thoughtful comments and TOTAL YOTMB DICKRIDING. i guess i have to tune you out again.

there probably is a professional manual out there outlaying how much an artist should talk to/interact with their fans/haters/critics. i probably interact waaaay too much. one day i'll be so busy i just don't even say anything on here anymore. but i will miss interacting with the higher and lower levels of anonymous intellect in the world. but fuck it. damned when you do, damned when you don't.

evolution is imminent.

step one, find inner peace and earn someone's respect, you scumlord.
i'm not your enemy. get off my fucking case, motherfucker.
one love,
YOTMB

So ... the thread has devolved into people complaining that the thread exists. That's our cure to lock. That and the topic is embarrassing to any forum that doesn't cater specifically to 12 year old girls.
