didnt you spend the best part of last year declaring that you and everyone else was God or some bullshit? why is Lil B excluded from this? I have no idea who he is but Id like to think that as God you could accept him like you do all the other Gods? Im sure your 'Beautiful Days In Heaven' dont invlove discrimination of any kind, least of all against generic southern rappers, especially given your undying and blinkered love for generic Canadian ones.

I'll check for it when it comes out. Drake is a pretty good rapper, from what I've heard.

man drake needs more 'asthma team', 'over' and rap rap rap type joints on here. hopefully he does put out a more straightforward mixtape out before the album, cos even the jeezy song i just heard was kinda soft. i didnt even realize when i clicked to another page, that the song had stopped. soft

'you appeasing all these bitches, nigga, appease some fucking niggas, nigga, no homo'

thats my pre-album release review of thank me later

He IS God. EVERYONE IS. He just kinda approached the idea wrong on the song, it's very arrogant. Everyone who has the moment where they declare they are God ARE right... but are wrong if they then tent their fingers like Montgomery Burns and go "muahahahaha! I AM GODDD". Yeah, you can literally create hell with your selfishness and the power of your negativity, great that you now realize this. The song isn't very enlightening, for something called "I'm God"

as soon as you lose the fear of God, you realize you can become God.

the rest of what you said? LOLlipop no Jim Jonsin

the BEAT for 'Over' is :ohsh: . Fuck I wish Drake wasn't so lazy a rapper on that song. He's normally so much better.

I think the album will be pretty good

Most disposable record of the year? Anyone who even has any hope of this being good needs to wake the fuck up and just save themselves the time and immediately get that Shad album. Good beats. Good lyrics. Good album.

everyone in history who made any impact on any level seemed like they were insane at the time. especially the ones who stuck to their beliefs in the face of overwhelming opposition.

they were hated by many, and loved by others.

they also often sounded crazy, and had ideas and said things that stood very contrary to the thoughts of the masses.

hi, my name is Mindbender Futurama. nice to meet you, Employee.

ha ha, but seriously: contrary to popular belief, God isn't above everyone. God is below and inside everyone as well, if God is above anyone. So anyone saying they are God need to realize that the REAL idea of God is about generosity and love and justice and balance, not greed and domination and control and manipulation and vengeance. I can't claim to be an authority, but I humbly suggest that certain concepts like evil and destruction are not "good" things. That's just how I define my universe.

peace God

While Drake has scores of supporters, he also has nonbelievers-naysayers who question his talent and criticize everything from his singing to his videos-especially the West-directed "Best I Ever Had" clip. But Drake isn't phased by them. "When people really listen to the album, I think they'll say, 'There's some really interesting songs on here, really interesting lyrics, really interesting layers,' " he says. "It's very reflective, very personal, but at the same time, it's fun. It's about my induction into the rap game, into Hollywood, having famous people that are friends with me. It's all very overwhelming."

EMI West Coast creative president/head of urban "Big" Jon Platt signed Drake to a publishing deal in June 2009-in the artist's dressing room at the BET Awards. "I went to see him in Toronto well before everything really exploded," Platt says about snatching Drake before anyone else did. "We just hung out all day and had a great conversation. I knew then that he was the real deal."

For Robert Gibbs, Drake's music agent at International Creative Management, Drake's appeal makes booking him for shows that much easier. After his Away From Home tour, Drake will go on a club/festival/radio tour and then head to Europe in July where he will support Jay-Z on a couple of U.K. stops as well as play the Wireless Festival with him. Afterward, Drake will hit Toronto for Caribbean music festival Caribana. He is also negotiating a fall tour, which AT&T will sponsor.

In addition, Drake has been reading movie scripts, although he's turned down a number of roles already. Dana Sims, Drake's motion picture talent agent at ICM, says, "Until the album is out, [Drake will] be putting the acting on hold."

To promote the new album, Drake will make appearances on late-night TV shows, an iPad giveaway promotion is in the works, and an MTV documentary will premiere on the music channel the week of June 20. Drake also says that as soon as "Thank Me Later" is released, he will start working on a follow-up-a move that Branch encourages, stating he'd like for Drake to release another album less than a year later, "like Justin Bieber did." <-- !

Although this is only his first album, Drake understands that his swift ascension from underground mixtape rapper to the next Biggie/Lil Wayne/insert-legend-here means that listeners are expecting not just quality, but greatness.

"I know I have a lot of growing up to do, but I guess unfortunately, people won't judge me as if this is my first album or my first year in the game," he says. "This is a crucial moment for me. It actually feels like my last album, not my first. I'll be working hard to make sure you remember it. I'll be in your city, performing all the songs, and hopefully looking at you in your eyes and letting you know it's real out here, man. I'm ready."

It's not a big deal, but so you see what I mean, MB:

It is a pretty slick line, but it's too obviously unfounded... he's just getting into the game and greater people are helping him up. In 2010 it's just a ridiculous statement and he might as well have said "Nine years in Rikers" or some other bold claim that doesn't hold weight, sort of like Rick Ross is doing (WHASSUP). Nah, but even Guru had the humility to at least say "One of the best yet", and "I'm top ten, one of the best of all time", "I'm almost doper than anyone" and stuff, and that's after 10 plus years in the game with several records to his name. The rest of Drake's verse is fine, and this is nitpicking, but you know I gotta react like a rottweiler when these new cats take it too far.

so in summary, Drake is a huge over hyped faggot who creates lacklustre music that appeals to morons with no sense of artistry.

glad we got that cleared up in less than 3 pages.

Drake got some rhymes, I do not deny that ever. People, as usual, love to hate on everyone because they are miz in their on lives. I am not hating but my whole point is that him, or any rapper for that matter, needs to stand up and make an album based on merit. Based on their own work. I don't give props to an artist who makes a debut album with 3/4 of the major industry supporting him. That is not how the greats got down. Nas, Big, Jay, Pac, Big L, Pun, 50 (not even getting into my 80's dudes) did not have the whole industry with them to help make their album. It's really gay and makes his status even more questionable than what a lot of people already think. That's all I am saying. Anyone who thinks that this kid can't rhyme is buggin. That being said, he still needs to rep on his own past a couple of tracks that ended up being popular.

So all of a sudden basic rhymes are a problem? Can I ask when this happened?

Can someone PLEASE provide some sort of real-time update as to whether or not skilled rapping is praiseworthy at any given moment? I've been clamoring for this for years.

they're not a problem per se, but thats the ground everyone is defending him on. & it is a problem when your entire personality is ripped from other rappers & u are adding nothing.
