Indefensible opinions
This is a semi-safe space to post your most controversial, indefensible, bat-shit crazy rap opinions - however, shit like Magoo >>> KRS-One won't be tolerated. So...

Pharrell beats for Pusha T solo music is better than anything he made for the Clipse (sans Grindin' and What Happened to That Boy)

Re: Indefensible opinions
It's Almost Dry is the best rap album of the last few years
Re: Indefensible opinions
I might be with you on this. I only heard the album in like 2016, so no idea if I'd have liked it back when it dropped. I do know I didn't buy it back then and at that time a new Ghostface album was an auto-buy for me, so I probably would've hated it. I like the beats though and "Paragraphs of Love" is probably my most played Ghostface track since I first heard it and that's out of everything he did.EichTurner wrote: ↑Mon Mar 17, 2025 11:13 pmGhostface Wizard of Poetry is the third best Ghost album LOL....

yes man.... i just feel like it was the most ghost has just been ghost since supreme clientele and the beats were actually excellent... i guess people don't really like r'n'b but he was doing exactly what he wanted to do and in interviews he always says its one of his best written albums... i love that whatnauts sample on 'forever'... i thought it was his best beats since supreme clientele full album wise and you can't really go wrong with that haha.

I don’t like J Dilla’s Donuts. I don’t ’get’ it, never did.

I totally get what you're saying. The street stuff gets stale after awhile, so hearing him on some different topics over a full album felt fresh. I remember now I didn't buy it when it dropped because I thought it was gonna be spoken word or him singing or some shit like that. When I heard the opening track I'm like "oh, he is rapping on this." Then it's like this is actually way better than I expected and now I got "Paragraphs of Love" as possibly a top 10 Ghost track for me. Beat on "Stay" is top level for sped-up Soul sample beats, so sweet. "Guest House" ending is hilarious. I don't know about top 3, but thinking about this now, maybe it cracks top 5.EichTurner wrote: ↑Wed Apr 30, 2025 10:54 pmyes man.... i just feel like it was the most ghost has just been ghost since supreme clientele and the beats were actually excellent... i guess people don't really like r'n'b but he was doing exactly what he wanted to do and in interviews he always says its one of his best written albums... i love that whatnauts sample on 'forever'... i thought it was his best beats since supreme clientele full album wise and you can't really go wrong with that haha.

I just don't want to listen to Sheek Louch or Styles P rap. It's like going from Algebra 1 to Advanced Calculus whenever Kiss shows up
